Turning Heads Linkup- Soft Surroundings Arioso Blue Sweater

Soft Surroundings is back! I’ve shared two looks this week, this blue sweater and the leopard maxi both from Soft Surroundings Pre-Spring/Winter lines. I am waiting for a pair of sandals that are on backorder as well. You know I love this company, and I wanted to add some more blue to my wardrobe.

Outfit

You know how I love warm tones, and I did share my long leopard dress with warm browns yesterday on the blog. Today, however, I wanted to bring a bit of Spring to my outfit, even if it is still cold outside! This Arioso blue sweater caught my eye with its light blue color and twisted neckline. I couldn’t resist adding a silk scarf in light pastel colors, and teal, which would also look great with my winter coat.

A periwinkle blue, I paired it with my older Ann Taylor lace cream skirt. This is one of my favorite skirts I have had for about 5 years. The blue sweater is a little short, but it would work well with a skirt or my jean skirt which comes up a little higher. The vertical lines ( design) on each side of the sweater also draw the eye in for a long lean look. I am wearing the sweater in my usual Soft Surrounding’s size, XS and it comes in other sizes S, M, L, XL.

The texture was added with my crinkled navy leather Tressje bag, and I chose my Marc Fisher taupe booties. Nude heels would have looked nice as well with this look.

Now, the earrings. I saw them in another color on another blogger and I loved the style! These flowers bring in the Spring season, and are actually very light!

Added bonus this week- Friday there will be another fashion post so stop by!

I’ve been shopping my closet this month and most of January, so I am getting a bit antsy to buy a few Spring things. I will wait until more collections come out, but I have a wishlist and always create a list based upon the need in my Spring wardrobe. ( perhaps a future blog post?)

What’s Up?

I mentioned yesterday we went to a Marti Gras Festival at Raylen Vineyards. So fun! and of course we bring the pups! I have some projects to print and hang photos  around the house, and my medication titration is going better, where it has “leveled off.” I will be going down again in April.

We’ve been enjoying ( for the few sunny days we had) taking some brisk walks on the Greenway with the pups. These little dogs can walk 3 miles 🙂 I’ve also been listening to more music on my treadmill at home. My Dad used to have the albums,by Simon and Garfunkel, “Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and The Sounds of Silence.” So, I just put my wireless headphones in and sing with the music while walking.

I was gifted this product and will try this for a month or so. This is a cream ( pump) that is used to regain facial volume. I thought it would be interested to try and see if it could provide results to areas of my cheeks. I’ll let you know! If you may be interested in fillers, but are not sure of the needle, perhaps give this a try.

Such a pretty outfit! A particularly love the skirt and scarf. The colors in the scarf are just so yummy! I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better since you first started reducing your pain medication.

What a beautiful sweater Jess and that lace skirt is just perfection. We have been having warm weather too and it’s crazy to think we are nearing the 80s this weekend! Wait, where’s spring? 🙁 I haven’t been to a Mardi Gras festival or event but it sounds like fun. One of these days we will go, I just know it. Happy Friday and wishing you a wonderful weekend!

What a beautiful sweater, Jess. I love the twisted neck and other textural elements on it and it is such a pretty color. I’m hoping for spring too, but our area usually has a slow warm up. Today’s temps are only in the 20’s for highs. However, the sun is bright and for that I am very thankful. Have a great weekend. – Amy

      Thanks Robin,
This was more of the late winter-early Spring collection, but great pieces. I look forward to seeing what you picked! I know, I am ready for Spring too, we had so much rain here in Charlotte, that and very grey days, so I ll take the sun!

The colors in this outfit just speak Spring to me. I love that baby blue soft sweater and the color of the jacket goes so nicely with it. The scarf just ties the two pieces together so nicely. Aww, it is so sweet that you include the pups on your outings!

I love your look, Jess. The handbag really catches my eye and I think it adds so much to the look. The brand has not been on my radar and you (may) know I’m a sucker for texture. I know what you mean about shopping your closet. For as much as I feel like I’m frequently buying this or that, it does seem to get stale, doesn’t it? BTW, *love* the earrings! I haven’t gotten resin ones yet, these are on my to-get list. Now, which color(s)?! Haha!

I love listening to music, it’s amazing how a song can take you right back to a favorite memory, so many songs remind me of my dad and then others of my niece. Music is so powerful!
