Turning Heads Linkup- Styling an Olive Green Bag with Dark Florals

Fall is a time to get out the dark florals and of course your Fall bags. I’ve styled my new Teddy Blake bag today with my romantic dark floral Mango dress.

My Look

Yesterday I styled this bag with jeans and a moto, today I am wearing a dark floral with the GIGI leather satchel in a gorgeous Stampatto leather.

Here are  the details:

10.6″h x 5.7″w x 13.4″l
Handle drop length: 3.4″
17″ to 23″ detachable/adjustable shoulder strap
One interior zip pocket
Signature dust bag included

I have worked with them before, and mentioned it yesterday in my post. The other bag I chose is the AVA in red croc.

You think I would go for a neutral. A safe bet. Tan, cognac, black . But every lady needs a fabulous red bag! That pop of red that makes you feel good and sophisticated. An all black ensemble with a stand out red bag!

Today, I did think about the neutrals, and went with a color you may not see out as much as the other neutrals, but goes with so much in a wardrobe. Olive Green. This particular shade has a brown undertone and it pairs very nicely with other neutrals as well as any color.

Florals are still my jam, and this dark floral is so pretty and is quite complimentary to the bag I am toting.

Satchels have always seemed sophisticated to me, and I love structured bags such as this. It also comes with a strap if you favor that option.

I went a little “matchy” with my Franco Sarto suede olive booties, but they needed  to accompany this dress.

I love Teddy Blake bags, they are structured, made of Italian Leather and beautiful hardware.

Happenings

I mentioned yesterday, that last week I bent over the wrong way ( postural problem!) while opening up a bag of mulch and woah! a lightening bolt of pain twinged at my back and side. If my PT was reading, my paraspinal muscles, my Quadratus Lumborum, and gluteus medius were all hurting ( read- I sprained my hip and back). So, I have been icing, using heat, reading and watching more Netflix than I care to. I called my mom and expressed the woes of getting older…!

I am planning  to enjoy some of the Fall festival activities around here. Picking pumpkins, Vineyard outings, and driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the Fall foliage are on my Fall list!

  • bag gifted by Teddy Blake all opinions are honest and truthful.

Have you shopped on Teddy Blake for a handbag? What color might you choose for your wardrobe?

I love this outfit, Jess! The floral dress and olive purse are perfect together. So pretty!

I hope you’re feeling better with your sprained muscles. Ouch! I’ll be making a doctor’s appointment for my randomly sore joints. So weird. But I need to find a new one to establish care here in NC anyway.

Oh Jess I’ve also done the “pulled something while doing something mundane” injury… so sorry you’re hurting! A few months ago I bent down to pick up my wellies and my back went, I had four days of severe back pain! The joys of getting older as you said 🙁

Your dress is absolutely glorious – I ADORE that pattern and the colours in it. Looks beautiful with the olive bag.

Thank you so much for hosting, get well soon!

And you look fabulous — I love everything about this outfit!

This bag is such a gorgeous fall color. It is a color I don’t have in a bag, but I may need to change that! I think olive can work as a neutral, but also stand out depending on what you wear with it. This dress is so, so pretty on you and it really goes perfectly with that olive bag! I love all of the colorful flowers and the dark background against them.

Ooh, I love that olive bag! So rich and chic with your floral dress. And you are right that every girl needs a red bag, too!! Lol! I sprained my hip/back almost two weeks ago while trying to hang a shower rod. I didn’t fall but sure tweaked something. Yes, lots of icing and taking it easy. I really hate it! Take care.

This olive bag is the perfect wardrobe addition for you. It goes with almost everything in your closet. It’s your neutral! The classic style makes it an evergreen. It will get noticed in the sea of tan and black bags.

That green is such a pretty shade, Teddy Blake bags are so good. I feel your pain (literally) with your back. I had a similar situation last week and it was right before my trip – I panicked. I rested it and it’s better but oh boy…

I love this bag a lot, Jess. It has reach deep olive green colour and lovely soft rich look on the finish. As for your back, I feel for you as I did something to mine five weeks ago and still can’t recover. I guess, for you it would be much more serious injury, hope you will feel better in no time 🙂
