Velvet Dress and Shoes-Leopard Swing Coat

img_5632

hello friends!

Is this time of year going fast? I always feel like I have to scramble to get it all done! Anyway, gifts are bought, and I look forward to seeing my family at Christmas. ( plus the 4 pups we will have there) I shared my Karina dress with faux fur Holiday look last week, my Going to a Holiday show attire will be Friday  and now want to share another Holiday dress I will probably wear on Christmas Day.

I saw this emerald green velvet dress on Zara a few weeks ago, and thought it would be perfect for Christmas. I also  have been mezmorized by the velvet shoes/boots I have seen on other bloggers and fell in love with this velvet  teal pair on ASOS. I am pairing these jewel tones with my vintage swing leopard coat today for a fun and festive Holiday look #2

As I look through various websites and magazines speaking of trends, Leopard print is one of those patterns that I think is in most women’s closets, and is wonderful, as it is so versatile, as a neutral. One can mix patterns, combine with virtually any color, and it seems to be a pattern that stands the test of time.

I bought this leoapard swing faux fur coat several years ago, and it is one of my favorite coats. It is as soft as my boy Gibson’s hair, and really warm. I also love the swing style as it is a vintage style and so fun to pair with pencil skirts, jeans,

Another brooch from my vintage brooch collection, and the 3 strand green necklace from Ann Taylor. I know this is a post filed with “trends” but believe that they are versatile pieces that one can wear in the winter/fall anytime!

Are you a velvet fan? Do you have leopard in your closet, how do you wear it?

Outfit: Dress Zara, Shoes: ASOS Necklace: Ann Taylor, Leopard Swing Coat: Vintage

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU TOMORROW FOR TURNING HEADS TUESDAY!

You look so elegant as always Jess! The velvet dress is gorgeous, I love velvet too! Leopard pattern is timeless, after all leopards have been wearing it forever! We can imitate the beauty of the leopard without cruelty to animals!

Oh, Jess—I loved how you mixed the teal & green—what a fabulous combination!! I’m going to have to copy that soon.
And of course I love that jacket—I was thinking of getting an animal print one about a month ago—but I already have so many great coats that I talked myself out of it (and that’s a good thing)!
    Happy Monday!
