Vintage Tweed Jacket and Denim

HI Ladies,

Here we are nearing the later parts of Winter, and I thought it would be time for me to take out one of my favorite tweed jackets before it got to warm in the season. We had 70 degree temps this weekend and I was able to go out and enjoy one of the days with the puppies in tow. They look so happy, tails up, and I think if they could smile, they would! We have plenty of Green ways and trails near our house that we enjoy walking, the one thing I do miss, that we had in Pittsburgh, we rails to trails. The old railroad tracks were converted into walking and biking trails and we used them often. I think just being outside, uplifts my mood.

I know you don’t often see me in jeans, but I am hoping in the near future to style some looks with denim for some casual attire. This blazer I am wearing today is vintage, from Poshmark. If you have not read my article, Poshmark, What is it and How to Shop There, give it a read, as you may just find a new place to shop and find deals! Darn that one pant leg! One up and one down, dont you love it when you find these things out when your editing pics. Ah, such is life.

I plan on adding more blues to my wardrobe this spring, I love teal, sky blue, cobalt, really many shades! This jacket was found in the Vintage section of Poshmark, and I loved the colors, style and bell sleeves.  I also love that the jacket is not boxy but rather a shaped siloette, that also pairs wonderfully, as seen here with a pencil skirt. I hope to share more denim looks in the upcoming months, as some casual looks for those Spring days are just as important.

Outfit details: William Rast designer denim,  ( love these)Franco Sarto Olive booties, ( love these), Vintage tweed jacket, ( love this one and this)

Have a great day!

Jess xo

Jess, I’m a bit behind, but I wanted to be sure to comment on this post. You look so cute in jeans! That jacket is very cool and I adore the color. How neat too that it has bell sleeves. Right on trend and to think it is a vintage piece. I love how the trends just come back around. That is part of the reason I am hesitant to get rid of too many things. Ha, ha. You look great and I love the bag and boots. Great outfit. Can’t wait to see more. – Amy

I’d steal this jacket off you Jess, in the blink of an eye! It’s beautiful, just my colours too. We don’t have a Poshmark here, so I really need to go back and read your link as to what it is. It’s good to see you in jeans, and no I didn’t notice that one leg thing until you said, sweetie. Anyway, I’m thinking I need to feature more jeans too as I always seem to be dressed up. I’m in camo jeans as I write this and thought I ought to feature them soon. You in camo would work too I’d say x

    Wishing you a fab week!

hehe! Anna, I would let you borrow it for sure if you lived near me! You are right, Poshmark is only in the US right now, but it is like thrifting on line. I have found some great deals. tee hee. I know, i notice things like that after the face.. such is life! I just am not as much of a jeans girl as I am skirts and dresses, and I bet the camos look awesome! Id try it! Thanks for stopping! xx

It is a lovely jacket, Jess, the colour green suits you very well. I like the way you combined vintage with denim to create a modern day look
