Warm me up!

TGIF Ladies

I hope you are looking forward to the festivities for the upcoming Holiday. I have all of my Christmas shopping done as I shop almost all online, and I wrap the gifts as well. These pics today are a little smaller than what you are used to , as this was from Nov of last year’s Asheville’s trip. I am a bit sore from my PT the other day, so I wanted to make sure I shared some of my photos with you. Since that time you all know I have increased my photo size so these are a little smaller. In the upcoming weeks, I will be showing you some Holiday Dressed Up outfits, and how to dress up your jeans for the season as well.  I look forward to showing you my several Black Friday purchases where I did show alot of restraint!

( This is a headband I plan to incorporate into one of my Holiday looks)

IMG_0663

Another possible hair accessory. An emerald green hair pin.( On a funny note, my boy Gibby was trying to paw the bun out of my hair! Either that or he thought I was a female shih tzu! so funny)

So, as I mentioned, excuse me for not taking totally new pictures as I am sore and exhausted from Physical Therapy yesterday, but I wanted to show you these anyway. We stayed at this BNB in the North Carolina mountains last fall and the place was octagon shaped. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, and we explored more of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Asheville. We are only 2 hours max away from there, so we go there for day trips at times. We love the arts and culture that the town provides.

It is always cold and windy this time of year, so I am always prepared with my 20s hat, I mentioned I love this style hat, ( which I purchased at a small boutique there) and had a great time trying on hats. I wore my burgundy wrap coat, my Sofft  boots and a sweater dress with my ruffled black soft cashmere cardigan over it to keep me warm. I love over the knee socks, but I advise them with OTK boots preferably, even though I like the look with heels or these boots, they have a habit of slipping down. ( I still like wearing them though)

My burgundy sweater dress is a staple in my closet, and one that will get alot of life out of it, as I love to add cardigans, jackets, tweed , other textures to ad interest, while the sweater dress iteself is super comfortable, and the color is one of my favorites. I love to add vintage inspired pieces as well as the burgundy brooch, as I am a fan of brooches.

So, tomorrow night we are going to see the Brian Setzer Orchestra. He is amazing on guitar, and my favorite music is swing, so I am dressin the part,  I have plans to share that outfit with you, and as I mentioned Dressy Holiday Looks, and how to dress up you DENIM! for the Holidays so stop back and……

Have a great weekend

Jess xo

This is such a great look Jess!!! It’s so unique and sort of has a 40ish feel to it. You look so great in hats. I wish I could wear them, but don’t have a hat head. I love that you wore the above the knee socks and paired with the boots – so fabulous!!!

Thanks Cherie! and I have been looking on Ebay for some great shoes, there are some really neat finds. I like the mules but i find them hard to wear with jeans. ( i wear them on occasion), Glad you liked the look. I love 20s hats and always look for them at this store in Asheville. Have a great weekend, jess xx
