Wearing Bright Colors with White- Ways to Wear Bright Colors

I’m sharing a look with brights today pairing it with white. There are many ways to style brights if that is something you enjoy wearing

Don’t we all need a “mood booster” at times with our clothes? Bright colors can do that and I am showing you various ways you can style brights as I bet you have some in your closet!

Wearing Brights

I’m not nieve, I know that it takes more than bright colors sometimes to be happy, but they certainly can help set your mood for the day.

How do you style them other than wearing them with white or denim?

This top, from Loft was begging, to be seen underneath other garments on the Loft rack. It was meant to be, as there was one left during a sale in the summer there .

I love the flutter sleeves, the eyelet detail, the gathered neck, and of course, the magenta color. Brights always look good with white, they let the bright take center stage!

Experimenting though with fashion, you can wear a bright color with another complementary color. Try navy trousers with this magenta. A pink shade with this color would look lovely as well.

You could certainly wear 2 brights, let’s say in this case yellow, and really make a statement. If you can’t see yourself in a yellow skirt or pants, try adding the second bright with accessories- a subtler but still effective way with these colors. A pair of earrings, a handbag.

Grey goes well with magenta and in this case, I would pair this top with light grey trousers or grey jeans. I would add a bright color like a bright cobalt with my accessories.

Pair your bright patterned pants with neutrals ( a neutral top).

With the two color scheme, try pairing a bright blue with a bright green. Bottoms and tops.

I’ve always been a fan of hot pink and green.

Bright colors paired with black or white always make that color pop!

Since the top is billowy, I want to wear a skinny jean to balance the look. I am wearing Denizen white denim by Levi. If you missed my post, Denim Picks for the Next Season, on Friday, have a read!

One blogger comes to mind when I think of mixing brights, and that is Katie, or Hello Katie Girl

See how she mixed the two brights, purple and yellow, keeping the pant neutral in white.

What’s Happening

I hope you all are enjoying these Summer months.

Well, I have been down health wise for the last 2 weeks. I went for bloodwork on Friday and am to get an abdominal ultrasound today.

I have had pain in my upper and lower abdomen, and other symptoms. I hope this will resolve soon. I just don’t do well when I don’t know what is going on! It could be an ulcer, maybe Gastritis,  I still make myself get out of bed to take blog pictures though, something to keep my mind off of things. I am so ready to feel better and go out!

This top now only comes in Petite sizes, but here is the link!

Thank you Michelle! It works that way for me too! I remember when I was first diagnosed with this disease, I used to wear all black. I think that is how I was feeling. Scared, not sure what the future held and worried. I love color and this bright really spoke to me! Thanks Sammie is a doll!

Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well…i personally know just how frustrating it is to go on another wild goose chase for medical mysteries (yet again). Hope you find some answers soon. But, despite it all, the magenta top looks awesome on you, especially with your hair…another bright! Unfortunately I couldn’t get the link for it to work other than to pin it, rather than go to Loft’s website. You may want to check that so you get appropriate credit!!

      Hello Diane,
Thank you for your kind words. I know, women deal with so much! I had bloodwork Friday and nothing showed there, so my doc thinks it could be a uti with referred pain, I am on antibiotics. We will see what the ultrasounds says. Glad you like the top! Thank you as I dont know why that happened, should have taken you to LOFT! I will fix that and then it should go, thank you for letting me know !

Aw, thanks friend! Sometimes it takes a bunch of tests and docs to find out. I am on antibiotics now so we will see how that goes. It is up your alley!
