Wearing a Jumpsuit Two Ways-Picadilly Review

Hi friends!

Jumpsuits seemed to gain popularity again about 3 years ago when the trend along with its counterpart, the romper made a resurgence. I have written about wearing a romper over 40, and today I am going to share with you several easy ways to wear a jumpsuit. I tossed around the idea of adding one to my closet, but I needed to make sure the length and torso were long enough for me.

Picadilly, a fashion company out of Canada, contacted me and wanted me to choose an item from their Spring line.  They are a company that has catered to stylish, fashionable woman, where age is just a number They offer seperates perfect for  the modern woman and fabrics that are soft, whether you are at home or one the go. My eyes went directly to this black lace jumpsuit, as it looked rather streamlined and comfortable . The fabric is very soft, and the length looks best with a low shoe or kitten heel. An inch or two more in length would have worked well as I am 5 foot 9. For reference, this is an XS. I loved the lace detail and wanted a lovely foundational piece that I could dress up or down.

“Picadilly was founded by Jacob Dombrowsky in 1975 in the heart of Toronto’s Fashion District. Since then it has grown to become one of the most successful apparel manufacturers in Canada.” Read more about the company HERE.

Today I chose to style this with a white blazer, leopard scarf and leopard heels with a pop of color from my pine green Rebecca Minkoff bag.

  • If you are going to go neutral, add color in accessories or shoes . In my case I chose the quilted bag.

I then chose to show you the jumpsuit without the jacket and simply added a pair of floral slip ons.

  • Athleisure wear is a big trend currently, you could add a pair of fun metaalic slip ons, some chuck taylors, or a athletic-style wedge to this look.

Lots of ways to wear this jumpsuit. I may wear it with a long vest or shirtdress for a chic style. Whether I wear it with heels or casual shoes just depends on what I am doing for the day.

Are you a fan of jumpsuits? How do you style yours?

Take a look at all Picadilly has to offer. Geometric styles, black and white, colorful dresses.

Have a great day!

Jess xo

Such a lovely jumpsuit Jess. I think black is the perfect colour for making the outfit look different each time you wear it with a different jacket or with different accessorises.

Fabulous jumpsuit! It really shows off your long legs (not at all envious!) 😉 I have a long torso so I struggle to find jumpsuits to fit me properly. I love the white blazer and the leopard print accessories.

Jess, that is a very pretty jump suit. I love that it is a basic black, but has the pretty lace texture at the shoulder and neck area. You styled it perfectly with the jacket and the scarf. I love your floral flats. So cute!! – Amy

I love the jumpsuit on you, Jess! The lace detail and that neckline really is gorgeous! Love the way you’ve styled it both ways. I do love jumpsuits but I tend to wear the flimsy kind when it’s really hot. I’d love to find one that works well in the winter as well.

Hi Suzy this material is medium weight and would work well layered in the winter as well. Glad you like the look! I had been wanting a jumpsuit but wanted to make sure it was long enough. Have a great day! xx

Tres elegant! A jumpsuit looks very good on you! I had one but I wasn t happy with it! It doesn t look that good on me because I have a long upper body.

Hi Nancy, that was my concern with the jumpsuit as I have tried some on where they were too short in the torso. This fits just right. I appreciate your feedback my friend! xx
