15 Aug When an Outfit Reminds Us of Our Childhood
Happy to Co-Host with Megan of Fashionista Momma,I am sharing one of the looks I packed for my trip to Asheville, just to go out for drinks at night
When I first put this outfit on, especially the top, I thought of peach or orange sherbet. Not that sherbet is my favorite summer cold yummy treat, but it reminded me of when I was a kid, my mom would get those large bowls of sherbet in the grocery store each summer It was Mom;s favorite treat! How can one go wrong when one puts on their #ootd and it reminds them of fond childhood memories?
Let’s just say, as long as those clothes don’t look like Garanimals ( a company who makes kids clothes that match and feature animals for any not familiar) thenI think it is a good thing. Peach is a favorite color, especially as a red head, as I think it brings out those ginger tones in a red head’s hair.
I wanted to put together a fun look for just going out at night for drinks, or a fun night out. The pointed nude flats with bow front makes it a notch up on the dressier scale.
I also think of this topic when I stray away from plaids. I went to a Catholic School where plaid was my uniform for 9 years. Never really thought about it until now, but I think it reminds me of that uniform!
Still in Asheville, I will be sharing some of the views and sights we are experiencing for our trip as well/

Posted at 17:21h, 17 AugustI’m not sure if any of my outfits remind me of my childhood Jess, but I’m going to bear the thought in mind. Peach is a great colour for you as you have warm skin. You could even wear it as a neutral. Love peplums as they’re so flattering. You top is stunning on you.

Posted at 12:12h, 15 AugustLove the peplum top on you Miss Jess. Had to laugh about the sherbet. Brought back memories of my grandmother. There was a soft serve orange sherbet shop in her neighborhood & it was quite a treat to go there. Asheville is lovely – enjoy.
