Hello Ladies!

I decided to jump on the white boot bandwagon, as I love the look and how it can transition to Spring from Winter as well. When Vaneli shoes contacted me, I was on a mission to find some white booties and found this cute pair called the Feltie Bootie. ( ON SALE!)

White Boots

“That’s my baby in the white boots… ” When I think of white boots, I think of a song by Jimmie Vaughn, famous blues guitarist, Stevie Ray Vaughn’s brother. He wrote a song titled “White Boots” and I used to have the CD. You can listen to it at the end of this post.

When my husband thinks of white boots, he thinks of majorettes from years ago when he was in the marching band. Those are the ankle boots.

The long tall, white boots make me think of go-go boots from the mid-60s.

?Go–go boots are a low-heeled style of women’s fashion boot first introduced in the mid-1960s. The original go–go boots, as defined by André Courrèges in 1964, were white, low-heeled, and mid-calf in height, a specific style which is sometimes called the Courrèges boot.”
White boots became popular again and are trending, have been trending since Fall, and continuing through this Spring. Retailers are showing white boots with long, flowy dresses and are popular among bloggers as well.

White Boots and My Outfit

It took me a bit of time to get the thought out of the white boots looking like a marching band student or that I wouldn’t get them all scuffed. When Vaneli asked to collaborate with me, I was on a mission to find a pair of white or cream-colored ankle boots and join the club.

After looking at the stylish footwear, I came across this  Vaneli Feltie boot, that I loved. The flat, 1.5 inch gold heel and streamlined cream bootie was elegant and fit my style. I could see wearing these with a pretty floral midi dress, styling them with some white jeans, or a denim jean skirt. They would be the alternative in the Spring to white heels, with a bit more spunk. This style is NOW ON SALE on this site, but I also loved this pair- the Vaneli Dany bootie.

I decided to wear my Zara leopard maxi dress and wanted to style it with a sweater and skirt look. This is a great alternative to a jacket over the dress, acting as if these separate.  My gold mustard textured sweater is older from Loft and I love the pairing of the mustard shade with leopard. Because leopard is a neutral, any color sweater would work over this dress.  The addition of bronze and gold earrings from Kendra Scott and my favorite Brahmin bag completes the look with more texture and color. .

      Thanks so much Kim! I haven’t done alot with wearing sweaters over dresses but I need to try and experiment. These booties are cream coloired, which I prefered over stark white, but yes, I still have to keep them clean and leather protect them 🙂 xx

    Jess, this is just a beautiful outfit combination. The white boots are simple and chic. I also love the combination of leopard spots and that lovely mustard colored sweater. This is one trend I cannot follow. These cool boots would not survive the streets of Manhattan!

    Im seeing a lot of white booties on fashion pages. I have been wanting some cream colored ones. Its hard for me to break the whole “no white after Labor day rule”. Haha. But Im in love with the look and you rocked it!
