14 May White Out
I know, I know. I don’t have a tan. You see the ladies in ads with the tans and the all white dresses or outfits. Let’s just say I was born pale. With fair skin. Not porcelain, but fair enough. I am fine with that, not being tan and wearing all white. My skin is healthy which is more important to me. I love seeing the all white look in the spring and summer. It is so fresh and clean looking. I have always admired and loved it on other people. I first saw this skirt at Banana Republic months and months ago, when they tempt you online by saying, “In stores soon”…then you keep checking back, and two months have gone by when they finally get the skirt in. So, I put it on hold at my store, through their online service, and low and behold, went to try it on and it fit so comfortably! I just love the eyelet pattern too. I have desperately been looking for a white jacket to go with, but several things have held me back. First, it is now almost 90 degrees here in Charlotte, so kind of hot for blazers. Second, shopping for a white blazer seems to be as daunting as a trip to the Home Depot for paint. You have Ecru, Winter White, Eggshell, Ivory… Ugh!! I must have ordered 3 blazers which were all OFF-White! I wish their was a “standard” that all companies used called “white”. Just good old fashioned white. So, by the time I was ready to get a blazer, the temps are just too hot here now.
I hope you like this emsemble of the WHITE eyelet skirt, white cotton top, and then pops of color added by a watercolor scarf, pink chandelier earrings, my Ballenciaga rose bag, and nude sandals. I would have worn white sandals…. if I could find them.
