11 Jan Why You Need a Camel Coat
Why do you need a camel coat?
Camel coats are a timeless classic. I have been eyeing different camel coats over the past few years and I am thrilled I found this one by Mango, on sale this year.
My Outfit
Trends come and go, but a camel coat is a classic that has stood the test of time.
I loved the double breasted style and the stitching detail on the coat. I have only been able to wear it to dry needling sessions and to pick up groceries, but I know I will have this coat for years to come.
You Will Look Polished
The great thing about a structured coat, is basically you can wear any outfit under it, and still look polished.
Athleisure you say? Why not! This is the time we are wearing casual wear. A camel coat will pull it all together. I styled this coat last week ( in this POST) with my Lou & Grey joggers.
I did style this look with more neutrals, as I wanted warm tones to go with this look.
I have shopped my closet, and wore this brown leopard wool skirt, by Loft, that I have had for years. Mixing brown tones or similar colors can be very complementary.
There is light brown, good and dark brown in the stripes of my Jambu booties, so they also became the bootie of choice for this outfit.
Camel is repeated in the sweater with my leather brown gloves ( Cornelia James post) adding a bit of punch to the look. Texture is added with my favorite Brahmin bag.
It Goes With Everything
What I love about this neutral colored coat, is that you can wear anything with it. Jeans, skirts, a dress, all will look wonderful with a camel coat.
Colors will pop with this classic, and neutrals with look gorgeous with this coat.
Will Transition Well into Seasons
What I love about this coat, is that it is lightweight, and it s great length for me. When Winter subsides and we enter into Spring the camel coat would be a great choice over my floral midi dress or white jeans.
Do Look For
Quality fabric- wool, cashmere, wool blend
Length that works for you- I knew I wanted a longer coat to wear with dresses, and this one is versatile to wear with pants, jeans and skirts. I am tall, at 5 foot 9, so I love the length here.
Special details- I loved the detail of the stitching around the collar and coat, as well as the tortoise medium sized buttons.

Posted at 20:57h, 12 JanuaryReally beautiful coat! I have loved the color camel for yeeeaaarrsss, and it sure does look great in this long, fitted coat. Now if I could find a slightly shorter one with hidden zipper and the buttons just for show I would be in heaven.

Posted at 15:25h, 11 JanuaryConsider yourself kissed!! I just now, okay 15 minutes ago, decided I need a camel coat. And voila!! Your post. I have been getting by using a pea coat my daughter bought me years ago. Probably over 10 years and closer to 20!! The sleeves were always a little short. When I put it on today, they looked like they had shrunk! And the length of the coat looks smaller, too. So even though winters are mild here, I think I need a new coat. One that will last for years. And I AM IN LOVE with YOURS!! And that skirt. That whole outfit with and without beautiful coat.

I did use some Christmas money for it as well.Between buying this and the red coat, I hope not to buy a new one for 10-15 years!

Posted at 05:04h, 11 JanuaryJess, those camel colours look absolutely gorgeous on you! My husband bought me a camel coloured leather biker jacket for Christmas, which I adore. It’s just a little bit too chilly to wear it at the moment!
Hugs, and Happy New Year!
