Yellow Blouse with Denim Skirt for Spring

Outfit

It’s been a bit since I wore my denim skirt, so I was in the mood to style it for Spring. I’ve always loved a denim skirt as it goes with anything. This week I have featured yellow as a color I’ve styled this week. I wrote about sage and yellow as trending colors this Spring in Friday’s post.

I just love detail on blouses. This top fit the bill with the lace, the embroidery and design. This bright yellow is one of the Pantone Colors of the year, and you can read about it in this post- Pantone Colors 2021.

I wore a mustard yellow on the blog yesterday, in the post, JBrand Lovestory Flared Denim and Yellow blouse.

If you want to wear yellow, but aren’t sure, start off with wearing yellow accessories. Since it is the Color of the Year, there is much to choose from in stores, from espadrilles, bags and jewelry.

My floral sandals make me feel like I have a flower bed around my toes and I always take them out around this time. 🙂

What’s Happening?

We had a good time over the weekend, as my sister and niece came to the house, to help my mom organize as she is leaving for Pittsburgh on Monday. ( today) . We enjoyed a Mexican meal and then listened to the Musical “Rock of Ages”, as it is coming to Charlotte this summer and we are getting tickets.  My sister and I knew and sang all the songs, popular tunes from the 80’s! It was so funny as my sis and I were singing, my niece said, ” I need some peace”, it was like we were the teenagers and she was the parent! lol.

I love this top Jess, the colour is perfect on you and looks great with the denim skirt. Can’t beat good old eighties rock music to bop to (kitchen at the moment). I’ve heard this musical is fabulous, can’t wait to hear what you think. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I love how the lace on the top is echoed in the sandals – it’s all those lovely little details you do so well. Coincidentally I have a new denim skirt so will be showing it off soon! xx

I don’t think I have worn mine since I wore it for two blog posts last year one copying an outfit of yours. But I still keep it because it is so versatile.

This is such a wonderful outfit. Full of boho-viby details without being over the top and you look fabulous in that bold shade of yellow.
