Zara Floral Wide Leg Jumpsuit

Morning friends!

We have had some extra warm weather as of late, and i love to see the sun out! It really affects my mood, and feels quite good on my muscles. Have you been shopping for summer? I had this floral jumpsuit from Zara for about 6 months, as I bought it doing a rare Zara sale for a whopping $25 last year. ! I had been watching it for quite a while, but never clicked on buy. Finally, with nothing left but a few smalls, and at that price, I bought it and have been waiting to wear it with excitement!

If you’re interested, dear readers, there is a SALE going on right now at Zara. I have purchased a few dresses and a blouse for a steal.

Jumpsuits have been more popular in the fashion scene over the past several years. I own but only one more, in black, and do enjoy the style as it makes dressing very easy! I wanted to wear this before it got too warm here in Charlotte. Another blogger, Cherie, of Style Nudge, has the same jumpsuit and when I saw how beautiful it was on her, it solidified my decision!

I have also worn a shorts romper in this post, Wearing a Romper Over 40, which I will style later in the summer as well.

This jumpsuit, with the steel-blue color with touches of tan, yellow gold, red and green were so eye-catching, i actually missed getting the top with the same print. Nevertheless, I thought to take it out now, and style it with my Andre Assous gold adorned espadrilles.

Since I am tall, 5 foot 9, that is where my apprehension for jumpsuits came in. I needed a jumpsuit long enough because, let’s face it, no one wants a wedgie! You know the feeling, if the length on a jumpsuit is too short, you get the feeling of those undies riding up!

The shorter wide leg style suited me, as i wasn’t then worried about the length being too short. I added my  neutral necklace for some sparkle, and my vintage earrings in sea green, amongst my favorites bought at a thrift store in Charleston.  The white bag provided a clean, fresh summery look without the need for more color.

The humidity was very high that day, as you can tell by my hair! That is always the tricky part in the summer with blogging. I think that is why I am going with ponytails, buns and chignons. If you have long hair, do you wear it up mostly in the summertime?

The one thing I do love about jumpsuits is the one and done factor, much like a dress. We all know the trials and tribulations and being that I have the bladder of a small infant, I just have to “go with the flow”…. ( sorry, pun intended!)

Wearing my gold-bling adorned Andre Assous espadrille sandals.

Are you a jumpsuit fan? What style of jumpsuit do you prefer ( wide leg, tapered, shorts/jumper, straight leg, cropped)?

Outfit details

Have a great day!

This is an absolutely stunning jumpsuit, Jess! And the color looks so wonderful with your coloring! The accessories you chose are just perfect! I had to giggle just a little when you talked about your jumpsuit issues because of your height – because, of course, I’m hesitant with jumpsuits because of my height, too – on the opposite end of the scale! They are usually soooo long on me and I really do get tired of hemming things! The last one I bought I purchased in the children’s department and that really is the perfect way to go for me! LOL!

Thank you Ronnie! I know, one of the reasons, for me I liked cropped jumpsuits, then I don’t have to worry about them being too short! Well, that is great! xx

This jumpsuit looks great on you! I love the way jumpsuits are in right now, and with a whole bunch of fun prints. I think what I like most about them, is how they’ve taken on a pretty dress shape, but giving the option to have pants on instead!

There has been so many cute and beautiful jumpsuits lately I don’t know what to do with myself! Unfortunately, finding the right one has also been challenging. Being a ruler, short and stumpy, the fit of most jumpsuits I have tried on hasn’t quite worked out. I love the olive green color of your Zara jumpsuit. The fit is flattering and the length is perfect. It has been so hot in my neck of the woods that it has been miserable. A lot of the times I put my hair in a bun. One because my son thinks it’s something to pull on even though repeatedly told not to and two I get hot way too easy with my hair down. Combine with hot weather I am just miserable so I prefer to put it up. I hope your day is going well so far and happy Monday!

Thank you Maureen! I just loved this print and the price was a steal! I am long, so i need length, and some jumpsuits may not be long enough for me, so I know what you mean. The cropped length works well, where that is concerned. I know what you mean about hot! We have had some very hot day and humid, that i would just wear this to dinner or a place where there is air conditioning. Jumpsuits are great as they can be worn year round too with different shoes, layering etc. hope you are well! xx

What a stunning jumpsuit, such a bargain too! 🙂 I really like the print on it and it’s lovely on you.

I hate my long hair in summer, when it starts getting warm is usually when I cut it off, haha!

Hope that you had a good weekend! We had a relaxing one here, all trying to recover from that winter bug we caught!
