3 Ways to Wear a Floral Jacket

IMG_6976

Hello Ladies

You have seen one of these looks before, but I thought I would add two additional styles to how I may incorporate this floral jacket.  More bang for your buck, you might say!

I am not an impulse buyer, nor am I a mall shopper, I tend to buy my clothes on-line. I found this floral jacket on Poshmark, and thought of the many ways I could wear it.  I love to buy pieces with versatility, made well, and I have always been a fan of blazers giving the wearer added construct and shape, that just may be the “wow” factor to an outfit.

Look #1: This is a look which is very feminine and creates a very soft palette. A white top under the blazer and one of my favorite #Zara midi skirts. The skirt a blush color, really captures the tonal palette of a romantic look here. Wearing a small square 1.5 inch white heel adds some height to make the legs look longer with the midi skirt.

LOOK #2: Here is the look you first saw me wearing. As I mentioned earlier in that post, it had a similar look to designer Ted Baker’s clothing, and I love his clothes, the prints, and the overall feeling I get when I see them. ( excitement, warm and fuzzy.. etc)

I am wearing this blazer, which is cropped with a pair of flares, light wash, a pink top underneath, and a pair of  1.5 inch strappy white sandals. This is a casual look, but still put together.  One could change out the sandals for a pair of pale pink heels, or choose another color from the color palette such as olive in a strappy sandal or  nude heel.

Look #3: This #AnnTaylor lavendar dress that you have seen in this post HERE, was a perfect choice for adding the cropped blazer. The blazer, adds a bit of finesse and also some structure to the look. The subtle purple detail in the blazer really comes out with wearing the dress. I like to wear dresses that are sleeveless with blazers, making a summer dress great for spring or other ocassions.

So, you are starting with a floral jacket.

  • You could also wear a pair of higher waist jeans in a dark  wash to dress up this look. For look #2.
  • Add a mixed print or a complementary soft pastel scarf to Look #1
  • A  pretty statement necklace and earrings draws the eye to the jacket for Look #2
  • Add a long knot or tassel necklace for the dress to add trend to the look. for Look #3

Of course, these are ideas. You may have others. I am just giving you ideas for making the most out of few garments and by adding some accessory changes. Change your handbags for a clutch or a different style bag.

********Hope you enjoyed the looks and Remember…

Thanks so much Cherie! I appreciate it about the jeans. I find the softer the jeans , the better. With my leg sensitivity I cant wear tight jeans. Never did anyway!! I know, I have another in my closet I really like , will wear this spring too. Have a good night! I am ready to hit the hay!
