Antique Gold Lace Holiday Outfit

IMG_5788

Happy Monday Ladies

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend as it gets closer to the Holidays. We have finally put up the tree, I have send my relatives and parents the gifts I wrapped, and have gone out a bit. When Black Friday came around, I did not go hog wild or break the bank, I am rather good with my budget. THis skirt did “call out to me” right off the bat. It was love at first sight. If I had been at Ann Taylor, I would have said, we saw each other across the room and it was love from the start. The fine knitted detail of the lace with an offwhite color and flecks of gold, was GOING to be in my closet!

I saw this on-line and you all know I have an interest with my style to incorporate vintage or vintage inspired clothing, jewwelry hats etc. This skirt was just my style and I just thought of Downton Abbey or an era that one could totally see this skirt. Beside the drop waist dresses Mary would wear, could you not see her in this skirt and a cream silk blouse with pearls. I just gravitate toward lace, 20s hats, certain styles that seem to fit me. I also couldn’t resist taking  our pictures in front of their lovely tree!

Here we were at Bacchus, one of our favorite wine bars and tapas. THey are lovely there. The owner is from NJ and opened the place this summer. We love to go and support their business. We always go to lunch at the off time around 2 or 3 when no one is there, and I either feel like my hubby has rented out the restaurant for me, or we have offended other customers somehow. j/K!

This week i am going to be showing some of my dressed up Holiday looks. I hope you stop by and see what I have planned to wear Christmas Day and what I would wear out during the Holiday season/ I am sure I will style this again at some point after Christmas as well.

Skirt: Ann Taylor, Top: Ny and Co ( Ebay, similar), flats ( Ebay, similar) Handbag: Louis Vuitton Speedy 30

Have a Great week,

Jess xo

I love all the textures in this outfit- they come together to create a truly amazing look! I like the way that the lace plays with the ruffles, and the unexpected touch the leopard print gave. It was just the thing to add some youthfulness and playfulness to the look 🙂

Jess, you just have style, period (pun intended). You always look very feminine in a grown-up way. Love the skirt, but can we talk about how gorgeous those glasses are? They’re perfect for you!

Thank you Alicia!! You are too kind. I try. As long as i dont look “old” I am good with grown up. The glasses are Warby Parker, and I posted them on my EDS FB page. They are called the Holcombe. If you did a search.l. love cat eye glasses and these were cool. Hope you are enjoying the holiday season friend! jess xx
