ASOS Printed Bodycon Dress

Happy Monday!

Hope you had a great weekend. I was able to go out and enjoy the weather. I wanted to wear the dress you have seen before, only styled for winter. This time, you get the dress, as is, vintage-inspired pencil dress in with a sweetheart neckline and purple print.

This is one of my favorite styles of dresses. I love the retro style. The pencil dress with a sweetheart neckline and pretty print. Not a floral, but colors of navy, maroon, plum, purple. This dress is versatile and can be worn year round. I styled it in the winter with boots and wore a Dolman sleeve cable knit sweater over top, but was really wanted to show you the shape and style of the dress. Vintage-inspired, yes indeed!

From Wikipedia:

  • sweetheart necklines (side edges linear, curved bottom edge concave down)
these have a curved bottom edge that is concave down and usually doubly scalloped to resemble the top half of a heart. The side edges often converge on the neck, similar to halter necklines. Sweetheart necklines accentuate the bosom.
I love the bodycon style as well. Comfort meets style, meets comfort. To me, if a dress is as comfortable as a nightgown, I am all in. I know this doesn’t sound very fashion saavy, but hey, this is true!
My purple vintage chandelier earrings and necklace ,accentuate the colors in the dress as the color scheme stays within the purple field. My new Penelope Coach bag is a lovely spring shade of lilac, which just reminds me of spring. You all know what a handbag girl I am.
Do you wear bodycon or fitted dresses?

Have a great week!

Jess xo

You wear it so well! I wore an old Boden dress much like yours yesterday, but somehow it didn’t feel as much like me as it did when I bought it. I felt so feminine, not tough enough 😉 Floral dresses are very springy & lovely, but I’m going back to black today 🙂
