Blooming Roses and Floral Blazers

IMG_6627TGIF!

Do you wake up and say to your significant other, “Good Morning”! or do you slowly make your way to the bathroom, and mumble under your breath, “Morning’?  What does this have to do with my post you say? Not much, I just like to get to know my lovely readers a bit more as time goes on. Today I am wearing a vintage inspired rose print jacket by Anthropolgie.

Florals, at times, can be tricky. Some times they can look old fashioned. I have so many florals to share with you for the spring, it is going to look like I cough up floral prints! This pattern could have looked  old fashioned, but the great thing about the industry is how fashion can be cut, styled to look modern and new . The moto style slim cut, makes it a more modern take on this print. The cut changes it. Had this been an oversized sweatshirt, I wouldn’t have bought it. Or had it been detailed with crochet around the collar, I wouldn’t have bought it, but Anthropologie has that style that can take a print and make it look interesting.

I decided that of course this could be styled in many ways, but since spring is coming up, but is not quite there, I did want to make use of wearing one of my sweater dresses before the weather hit the 60s or higher.. ( not right away).

I had someone from FB ask me recently why I wore tights. I easily explained that it was still cold in NC and when it warms up I won’t be. I think some expect when the calendar changes to March, that birds will be singing, flowers will be blooming… That day on our calendar when we write “Spring” things should miraculously change no matter what part of the country. Well, next week, now, “curb your enthusiam”, you may actually see me with bare legs!!  GASP!  ( weather permitting)

I wanted to share some floral blazers in addition to the one I am wearing

Please stop by Tuesday, March 17th at 7 AMEST when I host my first link up, titled Turning Heads Tuesday. I would love to see you there!!

That floral jacket is just so cute and unique, Jess. And you are wearing it over one of the several Loft dresses you and I both own. =)

Love that Anthro floral blazer! And the other jackets you’ve shown as well. I am now doing bare legs, and while the warmth is lovely, I probably had fallen behind in my leg-shaving duties. : 0
