25 Jul Blue in Green
I named this post Blue in Green for two reasons. One it is the colors I am wearing this day. Two the outfit reminded me then of a great tune, by the legendary jazz trumpeter, Miles Davis from his Album Kind of Blue
This was one of the most successful jazz albums out there. And you can listen to its amazing landscape of musical improvisation, space, and musicianship . Enjoy the Song HERE. The album was one of the most played during my years as a jazz musician in college, listen to the album, Kind of Blue Here. With jazz, one needs not to only know how to play , but how to listen. When to improvise, when to listen to other muscians and play off them. I met with a guy recently, at of course, our local wine bar, who is an amazing player, and loves jazz standards as much as I do. I have decided I can’t let my playing go by the wayside, as yet it would be another diversion, and another area yet to work on. So, hopefully when things go smoother with my health, I will be studying again with him.
This outfit is a two piece, not a dress, even though it almost passes for one. I loved the color as soon as I saw it, and decided to add a few other touches like this mint snakes skin belt, a blue floral ring with one of my favorite nail polishes Butter of London, a kind of Blue Grey. Then the added touch of the blue quilting in the Kate Spade bag made me think of this song, Blue In Green Hope you enjoy it!!
Just sit back, chill out, and listen to one of the masters of jazz play. Hope you like my fashion compilation as well.
Have a great weekend!
