Hello Ladies!

I began to create a monochromatic look today, inspired by burgundy or wine shades, but then thought of the color combination I liked together, navy and burgundy. I began with a monochromatic look with the dark burgundy  skinny leggings by Zara, and one of my favorite jackets that I “stole the  stole”  from for my outfit last week. Tweed is one of my favorite fabrics for fall, and this jacket and its feminine shape was my choice of the day. I took out my pointy croc boots, you have seen and I have worn plenty of times so far this season, and there was the look. Ok. No top yet. now, THAT might get looks.

Not the kind I prefer to have thank you very much! So, I loved this color combo and looked into my closet, when I thought of this navy lace top from Ann Taylor, and my crinkled, Treesje designer clutch, and added the finishing touches. Brooch, delicate necklace by 1928, both vintage inspired, and then more blue tones with my hoop earrings.

I think subconsciously I was inspired by one of my favorite pasttimes as well. Enjoying a glass of vino. This time of year, I make the transition from white to red, and had a delicious, fruity but glass or two of Tempranillo when we went out the other day. I won’t go into  my health issues, but this was only the second time in 7 weeks I have been able to go out So, lets say, I savored the moment! I enjoy a smooth glass of Malbec, Granche, or Tempranillo as my burgundy red wines of choice in the fall and winter.

Hi Jessica, I’m sure I can’t be the first to say this, but the title of your blog is just perfect! I’m still a novice blogger and just stretching my wings to make new friends, and have to say I too love the excuse of autumn to bring out my tweeds. As a Scottish exile living in England I love to wear tartan and tweed as a reminder of home. Your link up has introduced me to some new bloggers, so thank you for that. I love your tweed jacket today, and these boots are very cute too. Nice to meet you too!

Hi Anna! Good to meet you too I have to say fall is my favorite season, as I love the cool air, leaves and clothes. I am not a fan of the cold, so winter can go! I imagine it is cold in Scotland right now, but yes, tweed and tartan are two great fabrics. My link up is weekly, so glad to have you there. xx

Rich and delicious with great legs! :oD
I have admired that bag a few times, it seems to bring something special to your outfits, despite being a relatively simple design. A great touch.
