18 Feb Burgundy Cowl Neck
Hello Ladies
Today I am wearing one of my thicker cowl neck sweaters you only get to wear when it is Brrrrrr really cold outside here in Charlotte.
Going through a cold spell here, under freezing temps, I decided it was time to bring out my cozy thick burgundy sweater I received a few Christmases ago from Ann Taylor. I love this color and all variations of oxblood. Maroon, burgundy, and similar shades has been a favorite color of mine for the past few years, and seems popular every year. If I feel a bit risque, ( yes, that’s me!) I can wear this sweater off the shoulder. Otherwise, I like the deep cowl neck look with this sweater, the longer length, and the ribbed texture. I wanted to pair this with my black flirty skirt I wore a week or so ago, and decided to add my girly touch with my burgundy bow squared toed shoes.
Along with this color being a favorite, I must confess I love shoes with bows. or flowers. Mostly bows. I see the high heels with bows that I would love to wear, so I compromise and buy pointed flats with bows or these patent leather shoes I found this year on Ebay. I think it is the feminine touch of the bow that appeals to me.
Do you have many maroon, burgundy or oxblood items of clothing in your closet? What appeals to you about this color? Also, as a reader, would you be interested in a post on makeup for fair skin? I have my favorites and want to know who would like this as a topic?
Have a great day!
Jess xo

Posted at 14:46h, 19 FebruaryJess, I love this rich wine color on you, It is so saturated and plays well with your hair color. Love the balck skirt and filigree earrings, too.
I do love that shade, maybe because I love to drink wine!
I would love a post of how to make up a face when one is pale!

Accidental Icon
Posted at 07:28h, 18 FebruarySuch a great color for you and I love the cowl neck. It is fun to hear the way you can “play” with your sweater and become a femme fatale if you wish by exposing a tiny part of yourself. I recently wrote about the notion of reveal and conceal and clothing that helps you do that. This sweater gets added to the list.
