03 Apr Cargos and florals
I admittedly and through my site, am more of a skirt, dress person. I do like certain kinds of pants, but since I have leg sensitivity, I can only wear pants that are loose, comfortable, and more on the soft side, even though I would love to wear a pair of leather pants that were a cool trend this season. I can wear boyfriend jeans, and may show those another time on here as well. Isn’t it funny the more clothes you have, you still stare into your closet. I did some spring cleaning, and organization, but I said to my husband, ” Do you really need that corner of the room for your clothes?” There is a closet in the guest bedroom ( put it this way.. you can’t walk in, and it almost isn’t stand-in). He knows I am joking, ( kind of). I think the best we can do is build another shelf above my existing one for purses and my shoes that are on the floor of the closet. Small steps. Do any of you own those dream closets, with the shoe walls, and then the island in the middle, etc? Or do you switch out your winter clothes for spring, and box them up?
Where was I. Pants. I used to not be a fan of cargo pants, at least not the ones with a bunch of pockets on the side! I carry a purse I don’t need more pockets to rummage through. These are more streamlined, the leg is slightly tapered, and they are so comfortable. These are also the type you could dress up with a laced up strappy heel and dressy top, or as easily wear them with some of the slip on sneakers that I have a few pairs o and are trendy this season. I love florals, and have always loved them. For our wedding, I loved this set o dishware that had antique roses on it, and we ended up getting antique rose dishes, shower curtains, cups, couch cover, you name it! So, somehow I never tire of florals, and this top seemed almost impressionistic to me with the way the colors were used.
What are somethings you would pair with cargo pants?
Entire outfit: Loft from several years back. Floral mesh shirt, Olive cargo pants, Balenciaga, Cardigan, emerald green necklace, 1928 ( similar)

Posted at 22:42h, 14 AprilI can’t believe you wore pants. I don’t know that I’ve seen you in pants. I really like this outfit as well. I definitely need to check out the Loft more. These cargo pants are too cute. I need a pair of these. They look light and comfortable. They are probably also something I could work in as long as they have belt loops.

Posted at 10:45h, 15 AprilHa! Ha! I will really surprise you when I wear jeans in a couple posts! THese pants are very light, and I like that they don’t have big pockets like some cargos do. They are a bit tapered so I like to wear them sometimes with sandals and I love those gladiator type stilletos I can’t wear but would love to! These have belt loops. You could wear these

Posted at 15:04h, 03 AprilAlas, I have no dream closet…but wouldn’t that be fun!! I like how the cardigan really takes the look up to the next level.
Great work!

Posted at 15:15h, 03 AprilThank you Pam. Yes, alas… no dream closet. However, mine would not have a wall of shoes but rather just more space huh? 😉 Thank you about the cardigan. I felt too, it brought out the florals as well. jess xo

Posted at 10:48h, 03 AprilHi Jess,
your casual pants combined with the flower top create a very relaxed elegance. The colours go together very well and I like your mint cardigan or is it rather turquoise, I don´t know how you would call the colour. I love mint as well and have some items for summer in my wardrobe.I also wear khaki pants, most combined with a white blouse and a matching scarf.
Love

Posted at 11:53h, 03 AprilHi Monika. Thank you for your comment! There are times I wear pants, and since I have leg sensitivity, I have to have a cute and comfortable pair. Some are baggy on me, but I am ok with that. No tight jeans here. The cardigan is a turqouise or pool blue, and I am a big fan of this color blue. Sounds like a nice outfit you are explaining. Yes, if I had a solid color top, I would have dressed it up with a scarf or some unique colorful jewelry. Thank you.

Posted at 08:32h, 03 AprilLike you I love dresses and skirts. I have one pair of khaki cargo pants but admit I don’t wear them often. When I do, I also style them with something extra feminine. Your floral top is really lovely and works well with these casual pants, Jess!

Posted at 07:47h, 03 AprilHi Jess. I found your blog a couple of weeks ago and have been visiting daily. Love your style! Your dresses are all beautiful and the cargo pants outfit is great too. I don’t work outside of the home these days so pants are more for me…this outfit is perfectly put together and pretty.

Posted at 09:45h, 03 AprilHi Stacey, good to “meet” you! I am glad you like the blog. I do primarily wear skirts, but sometimes when I want a more casual look, these pants are comfortable, yet I love them with sandals or the currently slip on shoe style. ( might show that at a later time) Thank you!!
