23 Nov Check it Out!-Faux Leather Pants
Hello Ladies, I hope you all had a great weekend, as the Holidays draw near
Can I tell you about my “fun times” as of late! LAST Thursday morning, it seems in the wee hours, there was a Crawler scouring my site. . lets just say it did it enough to cause the CPU usage to skyrocket and have my site down.. I right away think “hacker!” what do you want with a fashion blog? Arent their more interesting things to do with your time.. well fast forward about an hour and hubby solves the mystery Yes , he is my awesome computer nerd! Brilliant! So my computer, in fact, did not get hurled out the window or anywhere else I might decide, as patience is not my virtue. So…. I wll move on!
Lets just say I have a plethora of faux leather skirts in my closet for this time of year, ok? And besides, how many times to I get to say “plethora”! I remember my first well, they used to be called “pleather” and I thought that sounded so cheap, pants, I wore in my 20s, and I think I thought I looked pretty sexy in them at the time. However, they were more like Ross from Friends, when he wore his first pair of leather pants, and needed talcum powder to take them off! Halarious!! but is it?..hmmm.
Anyway, I think brands have come a long way and the look of pleather or faux leather is much better these days, these ones I am wearing are from Ann Taylor. I actually went “crazy” and bought another pair, slightly different from Zara around the same time as well, and will share that later.
I don’t always follow trends, most of the time I beat to my own drum, and if it falls into the “trend” category, then so be it, but I don’t seek out something because it is trendy. I have seen many bloggers in faux leather pants and leggings recently and have really liked the look, so I thought i would try it. ( give it a go:-))
I would like to wear this with a poncho or cape, but since I presently do not own either, I decided to wear it with this lovely burgundy knit longer cowl neck sweater that I can wear off the shoulders or as is. Of course I love the burgundy color, i never seem to tire of its family either.. the plums, deep reds etc. Being that the sweater is a longer length, I wanted to wear a short boot to elongate the legs… ( i will wear these again with OTK boots, but different proportions)
These are some new booties! All leather by Seychelles, and found on GILT< a site with discounts on new items. I have been obsessing about boots lately, but have to look for ones with a maximum of 1.5 inch heel height. Not always easy.. i’m picky! So, there you have it, my first take on the faux leather pants, maybe I will channel my :”inner rocker “next time! 🙂
Enjoy your day!!
Jess xo

I have the half faux leather half fabric leggings from Loft. And I paired them with a tunic in the same color as your sweater! 🙂

Posted at 02:21h, 24 NovemberWho else can weather leather pants and still look utterly elegant? You have styled them up perfectly with the off the shoulder sweater too. I smiled at the reminder of Ross in those leather trousers and all the creams and talc he used to get them back on again hahaha. Plethora is one of my favourite words, but isn’t easy to weave into a post – well done! I’ll look forward to linking up with you soon.

P.S. I was the “victim” of a crawler too….I had a HUGE spike and all from Israel, weird! I am not sure what the point of it was, maybe it was just random? Maybe they were needing styling tips? Who knows?!?!

Posted at 10:17h, 23 NovemberYou’re so right faux leather pants are much better now than in the 90’s. I think designers want to make them look as close to real leather as possible. You look fabulous in yours!
