Coral Crush and How it Works With Fair Skin

IMG_7184

Nothing like a warm spring day. Today was in the mid 80s and the sun was out. I love the color coral and also look to what colors are more flattering on my fair skin.

Before I talk about coral, I want to let you know that quite a number of bloggers have linked up or posted on #TurningHeadsTuesday! We have 114 blog posts and I would love for others to get attention as well. So if you can, stop over and check out some of the new blogs posted or ones not visited HERE, or go directly to the link up! THANK YOU!!

Coral is one of my favorite summer colors and I will style this dress in different ways before the summer ends. The Clark Artisan sandals are dressy and comfortable enough for all the strenuous walking we had to do from the car to the restaurant! Ha 🙂

It has been very warm in Charlotte almost to wear the seasons mesh together or spring gets squashed out altogether. You know the feeling you get dressed up with a place to go, and the moment you step outside you start sweating! Not very glamorous, but real life!

We headed to Firebirds for some of their reknowned Pineapple vodka infused martinis, where they have a giant jug on the bar, of pineapples that have been infused for 48 hours with vodka! Very nice on a hot day!

Coral reminds me of summer time, fruity drinks and shades of the sun as it sets.

Who wears coral?  Well, anyone CAN. But what shades might look best on fairer skin, like mine?

You may likely have light/strawberry blonde or auburn hair with light blue or green eyes. Your skin is extremely light and you may be freckled and/or have rosy cheeks. This is me! Some colors are going to be more flattering with my skin tone than others. I have found these to be:

Certain pinks, peach, true reds, clear blues, camel, light pink, coral, golden yellow, golden brown, aqua and bright greens are flattering. If one has fair skin and red hair, I find that jewel tones very flattering to one’s skin as well. ** Coral can work on many women, it is a pretty universally flattering color.

I also love this coral look on this fair skinned model with coral lipstick.

Do you choose colors based on your skin tone? What colors work best for you and would you wear coral?

Enjoy your weekend!

Such a lovely lace dress! This color looks wonderful on you, Jess! I have very little coral in my closet at the moment, however, I do think it’s a very pretty color. Thank you for linking up with Charming Friday – hope to see you again this week!

You look amazing in this shade! So if you have lighter skin, a deeper/brighter shade of coral works best? I have always wondered about that! Thanks! And thank you for linking up with Charming Lucy Friday! I would love to link up with you on Tuesdays. Is there a way you send reminders? I need one(: Thanks! Susan

Coral is one of my favorite colors as well! I choose color based on my skin tone but sometimes I love to push a little bit more to try something new. 😉 In general I love bold colors. Most reds are looking good on me so that is why I love coral. 🙂

    Have a great day Jess!
