Denim and My Favorite Tweed Jacket

Layfayette148NY tweed Jacket

Hello Ladies

I ran across this tweed jacket on Ebay, and  just feel in love with all of the colors as I knew they would compliment my red hair.

Ok. Now mark this moment in history.

You don’t often see it.

Yes. I am wearing pants. Jeans. Boyfriend jeans.  You know me, and know how much I love my skirts and dresses, but occassionally I want to wear some loose fitting jeans. As much as I would like to wear form fitting jeans, I just can’t, so boyfriend jeans are the next best thing for me. I am also a fan of the destructed look with intentional holes where they are.

This is a casual look made a bit more dressy by the tweed jacket, the shining of the oranges,  rust, olive, yellows and browns in the jacket by LaFayette148 NewYork. This jacket can be warn with many things in my wardrobe, but dressing up some boyfriend jeans was something I had in mind. My slightly longer rust colored peplum shell underneath, and Born oxfords add to this dressier look,  and make it more fun than a mere t-shirt and jeans.

I am a fan of blazers, jackets and feel that they can really make a statement for one’s look. Also look at the possibility when you are looking for a tweed jacket for versatility. Can I pair this with many of the skirts or pants in my wardrobe? Do the colors work on my skin tone? These are some of the considerations I make when choosing a garment.

So, there you have it. Jess in pants. Jeans, for that matter. It may be awhile before you see it again. 🙂 Hope you enjoyed the styling!

Have a great day’

Jess xo

    Oh Jess,
a great look on you! Love the destroyed jeans, and I know certain denim styles can be uncomfortable.
Love the tweed jacket, i can see it with so many things in your closet. I love the way you styled this: layered to perfection. Also, love the cameos!

Thanks Nora, there are hook closures I could have used to make it lay more flat, but at times I like to “dress it up ” a bit with a vintage pin. I love your jackets, so I take this as high praise. Glad you like the look!! xo

Hi Jofie, thanks so much for stopping by! No, I collect brooches ( vintage) and sometime will close the jacket by adding a vintage pin. Glad you liked it! xx
