IMG_8865pumpkinHello LadiesI hope everyone has had a nice weekend. Today's look I was excited to style. Again, looking ahead to NYFW ( my mom is going, I can't this year) and some of the Fall Trends, this Pumpkin Spice/Rust shade is hot on the runways! Mmm. My husband laughs as each fall I get drawn in to everything "pumpkin spice." Candles, bake goods, coffee.. lattes ( of course) and now clothing.  This shade is indicitive of Fall, its rust colored beauty can be complimented by so many shades: olive, black, mustard, camel, browns., metlot , burgundy Another trend that would work quite well with this dress, is wearing a turtleneck under the dress. This is quite popular on the runway, and can take a dress from another season, into fall/Winter. If you missed my NYFW LOOK #1 inspiration: Fall Florals, click HERE.

IMG_8766scarfHello LadiesToday I have collaborated with the brand, Artteca, which means "gallery" in Latin, a name very aprapo for this artistic and creative company. The company creates "wearable art" by working with artists from around the world to create contemporary pieces that are bold, colorful and made in the USA.  Being a former Music educator, I also loved the fact that Artteca supports and impacts young artists in Art Education.  This is my 4th Look on a Series of Denim Trends. I am  wearing a dressed up pair of dark wash flares, lace blouse with its detailed edges, and as it is a monochromatic look, brought in color with the Artteca silk scarf and shoes. See  DENIM LOOKS: LOOK 1  LOOK 2  LOOK 3. Yesterday's DENIM look showed how I styled a jean jacket over a trend for Fall 16. Click here to view.

fallfloralstrendThis is kind of a combination of a series I wanted to do on the blog sharing how i incorporate the NYFW Fall Trends with my closet, and put together a similar look  Think of this as a Two-fer! A NYFW inspired outfit and a Denim Trends look. My denim item this week, is the classic jean jacket.  As I research Fall Fashions from the runway, I came upon these looks that of course I love and want to style. Fall florals are big for Fall 2016 on the runway and I chose to style it with clothes from my closet. I went to Fashion Week last year, this year it is my mom's turn! I look forward to hearing about her experience and will write about it here. I really love some of the runway trends, and what is great about this look is that it is truly something one can wear "in real life".  I truly love to take items that are currently in my closet and wear them for another season. I have worn this ASOS dress several times in the spring, as you can see here.  The color pallete however, does lend itself to Fall months, as it has deep plums, grey and navy tones.IMG_8808IMG_8816I decided to wear my F21 jean jacket as I emulate the look from the runway, and also because you have never seen me in a jean jacket!  The vintage brooch inspiration is  taken from fellow bloggers, Suzanne of  Suzanne Carillo Blog  and Anna of Annas Island Style;  I added some of my purple toned vintage brooches to the look. I wouldnt mind looking for some  embroidered patches I could add to the jacket as well.IMG_8812

IMG_9077Hello Ladies!!Welcome back to another edition of #Turningheadstuesday!! I am sharing with you another one of my looks from #NYFW, as I wore this to the #BetseyJohnson fashion show. Perhaps I could have worn a big tulle fluffy pink dress with a corset outer, but thought that just might be a bit over the top for me, so I saw this on Zara and had to have it!  I know I have shown alot of lace outfits lately, but what can I say.. I love fine well made lace and the color was a surprise! On the website, it looked more maroon, which I thought would be lovely, but when I received it, it is a brick shade and I thought, even better!!

IMG_9122IMG_9049For someone with EDS, I did alot of walking. For someone WITHOUT it, I did alot of walking. Jersey City and New York are not that conducive to wearing heels and walking blocks. What is a girl to do? I am not living in the early 90s where I can wear my sneakers with my dress and change. right? Just doesn't look right, and I know someone either said, " One has to suffer for beauty", or something along those lines. Hmmmm. Well, , I wanted to share with you the view from my brother's place and some of the sights I took in while I was there.
