Floral Slip On Sneakers and Peach Embellished Cardigan with Jeans

IMG_7132

Hello Ladies,

Today is one of those laid back looks.  I do dress up for the most part, but other times I want to look put together without wearing a skirt or dress. I do have jeans that I am fond of wearing, these designer William Rast jeans for example, are soft, and I love the dark wash. I decided I am in love with slip on sneakers. The trend has been around for awhile, and they have grown on me more and more. So, when I saw these Same Edelman peach and olive floral slip ons, I rejoiced knowing they would be in my closet soon! I have another pair of his slip ons in Leopard print and they are very cushioned, which is what I need in a shoe-style and comfort.

So, just one of those days. Mom here, we are having a good time jaunting back and forth to various restaurants and wine bars. One of my favorite places, we have become regulars, as we can bring the pups, sit outside and they have a great wine, beer and food list. This is a casual look one can pull off with ease. I recently added this white ruffled button down by White House Black Market and it is a staple, as most women find in their closet. The classic white button down which pairs so well under vest, cardigans, dresses, and jackets. I am in love with the color peach and do like it with my complexion and hair, but of course, it cant just be a plain peach cardi! No, the fun little textured flowers made of irridencent plastic are what make this an interesting cardigan. Add some white dangling pearl  drop earrings and my textured circle quilited Rebecca Minkoff bag and one looks comfortable, casual but stylish. And it all revolved around my floral slip ons.

How might you create a style around these floral slip ons? Do you wear this trend?

You just reminded me, I need to wear my floral slip-ons. Mine are in a nude background. I would try these slipons with a midi skirt and even a flippy above the knee floral skirt paired with your white blouse or a white graphic tee. Love the peach cardi, though.

I have started a linkup on Thursdays I would love for you to join, please. The current one is live (link below). Thanks so much and Happy Monday!

Your floral slip-ons are lovely, but that embellished cardigan is my favourite piece – such nice detail and perfect with denim.

This is another great casual look on you Jess….although you are never so casual as to lose your doses of femininity and elegance.
These slip on trainers are so pretty, it is almost like they had you in mind when they made them.
    The girliest gutties ever!
I am on the look out for some shoes of this style, so I will have a gander through your suggestions.
    Thank you.

Thanks Sam, I do like the slip ons, talk about a comfortable shoe! They would look great on you as well. Lets face it we all like to dress down occasionally, i think and I do have some jeans I enjoy wearing. I love the word “guttie” I want to go to a store and ask for a pair of gutties in size 8!

      Have a wonderful weekend

This is adorable. Casual is my go to for dressing and I spend more time in my jeans than anything else, except maybe my pj’s! Ha, ha. I love the colors and the white blouse. Cute shoes. You are really making me want to get some floral. It’s not something I have much of. Thanks for posting. – Amy

You are a perfect example of how dressing casual can still look stylish! I laugh when I style an outfit around my shoes since they are really only take up about 10% of my look!! But, to me, they make such a difference in your attitude!! Love this! jodie

So true Jodie! I used to be bummed when I couldn’t wear nice shoes and had to stick to tennis shoes early with EDS, now I can wear nice shoes, it is more fun. Thank you for the compliment! xx
