07 May Florals For Mother’s Day

Good Morning ladies!

If you have been following the blog for awhile, you know i am a “floral girl”. I have always loved floral prints, as they are romantic and a lovely reminder of Spring. I do tend to choose medium to larger floral prints, not the tiny florals that remind me of grandma’s afghan. That’s just me. If you looked at my closet, you might think that stems should be intertwined in between clothes racks, as i have a fair amount of floral dresses and tops, ready to be picked to be worn.  My mom used to have a pink and purple floral duster that i used to borrow in high school as the bold colors and print really attracted me.

I had a bit of a rough health week this past week, so I will do my best to get caught up on blog comments and visiting.

Mother’s Day is on the horizon, and I wanted to share a look that would be wonderful to wear to meet your mom for that special day, or to wear to brunch as well. I think about my Mom daily, as she and I have gotten even closer over the years. My mom lives in our hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, and we visit several times a year, or she comes to Charlotte.

Mom is loving, a strong person, and cares deeply for our family. She often tells us ( I have 2 brothers and a sister) how proud she is of us. She and I talk on the phone, as she would rather hear my voice than view words on a text. My mom and i recently talked about doing work on Ancestry.com, as we want to continue certain traditions and learn about our ancestors. So I am hoping to check on that soon. Mom feels strongly about tradition, and in addition to being Irish, I am English and Ukrainian. We spoke recently about our family traditions at Easter and how we want to continue those, feeling sad that we haven’t lately.

So, in honor of my mom, my beautiful mom and lovely lady, I wanted to dress in a floral style- just perfect for Mother’s Day.

I am wearing a pink floral Karina dress ( the Audrey Style) which I was gifted by Karina a few years ago. I love the vintage rose pink color, with the bolder blue roses and greenery print. I styled this look with a Kate Spade quilted bag, and my pink pearl heeled Betsey Johnson sandals I bought at DSW. White floral earrings are from Baublebar.

So, no matter what you do for Mother’s Day, just make sure you tell her how much she means to you!
