Got the Blues

Figuratively, not literally. B,B, King once sang, ” Everyday I got the blues.” Well, I can’t say that for my wardrobe either.

I need to incorporate more blue into my wardrobe. I have a lot of many other colors, but I am not sure why I haven’t been drawn to it. I like mint, baby blue, maybe it is just finding the right blue hue! I took a stroll down our development, and we have so many beautiful crepe murtle trees, I really want one. So, I suppose, the next best thing, ( not really!) is looking like we have one in our yard, and smelling the flowers from the trees. Lace is another favorite thing of mine, if it is done well, and I found this skirt at Loft years ago. I wanted to do something with blue, so I thought , black lace skirt. I do like cobalt blue with black, and cobalt was and possibly is showing up in many places, but I just go with what looks good on me. The day was nice, although neighbors walking the pups were looking at me kind of funny. Well, I am sure they will get used to it. Although, some teenage girl said, ” That’s right, Vogue”, and ” Work it”, so I just did my thing. Remember the video, Vogue with Madonna? I did none of those poses.

I HAD to take out this new Brahmin bag, as to me it was the shade of Hydrangea flowers. Not a purple, not a blue , but a mix of the two. Loved it, and finally it can come out of hiding. The texture is something I don’t have in a bag, so between that and the color, I loved it.

Have a great day!

Jess. Love this cornflower blue on you, and I love how silk makes a color look even richer! The lace skirt is perfect with it and a wonderful year round staple. Love the candid shots of you and the flowering tree, and of course, loving that blue gator bag!!

Thank you Elle. Yes, I could use more blue in the closet. ( although it is pretty full) 🙂 I am a fan of this blue, and love baby blue as well. You may notice I love lace skirts, and I liked how the tan slip underneath brings out the lace. Yes, I agree! Everyone should own a black lace skirt. Kind of like the LBD . I am always trying to think of new poses or areas to shoot, and these trees are so pretty.
I loved this color in the Brahmin bag too, and I was anxious to take it out! Thank you for the lovely comments !

Thanks Annette . Yes guilty as charged as far as the shoes go. I have some of the same in other sandals as well. Why not huh, if you like em. I appreciate the compliment. I haven’t wore the shirt in awhile, but I liked it paired with the black lace. xo

Beautiful, Jess! Another perfect colour for you. I love this silky top, it creates such a lovely feminine silhouette.
And I see you are like me and bought the shoes in two different colours 🙂
