13 Jun Halter Dress: It’s Summertime!

…At least the weather feels that way!

Well, I bought this dress about 4 years ago at Ann Taylor loft. The print caught my eye, and I do love sundresses. The great thing about them is that they are pretty much an outfit ready to go. Add accessories, colorful purse, new gladiator sandals, and earrings, and viola! There you have it, the outfit for the day. We haven’t had a long spring, many times in Charlotte, we go from Winter to summer. Here it is almost 90 degrees, and we are at an area called Langtree, which is going to be built up to restaurants, wine bars, nail places ( as many as Starbucks down here), the main hotel, a boardwalk and music ampitheatre. It will be quite lovely when it is done.

We went to Sun Up, a breakfast place that caters to us late eaters. Seems that when we go, we always hit the “quiet hours”, 2 or 3 in the afternoon, when people are few. I am a people person though, and there are those times that I would like to see or talk to other people. I have the “gift of gab”, as does my mother, as we can come out of a restaurant or a shopping center holding complete comversations like we have known someone for years, only to find out that I had just met the person. My husband has threatened to take me out on Sales calls. Haha! Nooooo.. I told him it wouldn’t be natural, but rather forced, as it would be something I have to do… Just kidding y’all.   Had to put my hair up a bit when we were there, as it was hot! Not hot enough to get a cut, but a ponytail will do. My hubby knows I like Sofft sandals, as they are stylish, trendy, and super comfy! They live up to their name 🙂 He got me these new pair of gladiators 🙂

Anyhow, I had a craving for pancakes and had berry pancakes soooo good! They were about the size of my plate , so out of 2 I ate one. To start though I love either a peach belini or a mamosa, and it just hit the spot! I am not really a champagne girl by itsself, but with orange juice or mixed with peach juice etc in a belini, and I am all in!! My hubby had a banana’s foster waffle, and it was quite good as well… as it is a habit for me to take one bite out of whatever he gets. SO a nice morning. Hope you have had one as well. Am I getting you hungry yet?
