Rounding the bend to the Holiday Season, and getting closer to Christmas. I know upon first reading, if you are from my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, perhaps you are thinking I am writing about the Pittsburgh Steelers. I know my dad will be sorry to hear that , that is not the case, I am writing once again about fashion. Fashionable Steelers? No just fashion, for the Holidays to be exact.
This is one of my dressier dresses for the season and I bought it at Ann Taylor about 5 years or so ago. The brocade caught my attention, the material was thick, made well, and I thought it had many styling potential for the Holidays, the Symphony of a show. Most of the items I wear, either have to catch my eye from across a room, or have me looking back at them multiple times on a computer screen. This was the former. I paired this with a necklace from White House Black Market for some more sparkle and gold earrings as one must glitter at some point during Christmas Holiday.
I wanted to show you what I loved most about this dress, the brocade and the design. Also, If I didn’t want to go to Christmas dinner with bare shoulders, I would wear a faux fur caplet ( I am waiting for a vintage one in the mail I scored for $20), or a shawl, even a black shrug.! But would you beleive it was in the high 60s today! I am wearing a gold headband to dress up my hair a bit as well Lots of ways I could wear this I hope you are all getting ready to soon enjoy celebrations with your family as well
Besides Christmas day and spending it with my hubby and pups, the rest of my family lives in various states, we will be looking forward to a nice Holiday meal. I also look forward to seeing some movies over the Holiday. One of the ones I want to see is the Steven Hawkings movie That looks amazing, What do you do with your families over the Holidays? Do you see any movies? Go to plays?
Have a great weekend
