Indulge in Style: Chocolate Brown Fashion Trends of 2023

Chocolate brown is trending this Fall and I am here for it!

Did someone say chocolate?

Chocolate brown usually conjures up images of truffles with rich melty centers. Or dark chocolate brownies with those gooey pieces.

Well, today we are talking about fashion.

Chocolate brown is everywhere this season and makes a wonderful warm statement as a change from black. You will find shoes, blazers, trousers, boots, sweaters, really anything you are looking for in this rich hue.

I was thrilled when I scored this pair of brown faux leather trousers from Ann Taylor, but I had to try some of the sizes to get it right. I did try my usual size 4, but found the waist big, and I had to keep pulling them up. I think Ann Taylor has been a bit generous with some of their sizing. I ordered the 2, and the fit was perfection. This pant looked like real leather, and I ordered a few faux leather pants, but was happiest with these. You know, I got ones in milk chocolate, but I wanted that deep rich dark chocolate color. The pair I bought is only available in one size, but these wonderful chocolate brown leggings are available in many sizes.

Ann Taylor is having a 30% off sale until November 2nd, so take stock.

What do you think about the rich brown trend?

There are plenty of options in which you could wear this color- every color of the Autumn palette would look wonderful. Ambers, gold, burgundy, olive, rich reds. Too many to list as they would all pair nicely.

I have been eyeing these low heeled booties from Ann Taylor, which would look sharp with so many looks.

Before we look at some of my choices for you, here is a blog post, where I styled an Ann Taylor faux leather skirt with velvet and teal. Yes it works well with jewel tones!

I always love brown because it seems warmer than black. In fact, I was just unpacking my ankle boots and I have quite a few pair I can’t wait to wear.
