08 Sep Karina Dress Bronze Leaves Megan: Karina Dress Giveaway!

Hello Ladies!

I realize it is September and in some of the areas you may be experiencing more fall like weather. However, in NC we may not get fall weather until October or so. But lets just call this a pre-fall outfit, a Karina Dress with a pattern of Bronze Leaves.

Every time I think of fall, I think of the trees and leaves, It is really my favorite season. Just enough cool in the air, and beauty all around. In the upcoming months, I just love the rich fall colors in fashion, the reds, greens, burgundy and browns. I chose this dress from Karina, and it is the Megan, a great 40’s style vintage look/cut that I am quite fond of.

When I think of autumn leaves, I also think of music. Being in a jazz program in college, the song, Autumn Leaves, was not only a favorite, but one I played on my jazz guitar for my senior performance. It has been covered by many jazz greats, and even if you don’t know the tune, I am sure you will love the melody.

This fit is so lovely, the bottom of the dress is great for swinging and adds a fuller touch. The V neck and short flirty sleeves are just so indicative of dresses of this era. I just need some stockings ( they were a high commodity then!) and my hair back in a hair bow, and viola! The leaves in the dress, are brown, bronze and copper, and I chose this pattern as I thought it would look good with my hair color. I added a real leaf copper necklace, and copper leaf earrings I bought in Asheville, NC, a place known for their artists. My woven bronze flats are super comfy and went well with the dress too. I know my bag isn’t getting the attention it deserves, as I was too busy dancing for the camera! ( probably why I am laughing like a goof ball in one pic).
