Turning Heads Linkup-Karina Dress- A New Favorite: The Katharine

Hello friends!

How was your weekend?  We went out with the pups as the weather has cooled down here in Charlotte. The last several weeks have been in the low 80s and even 70s, which is unheard of for August in the South! Anyhow, I was happy to collaborate with Karina dresses today and try a new cut/style called the Katharine.  In addition, I’ve got my long hair groove back!

Before I talk about Karina dresses, my brooches had me thinking about ” The Crown” on Netflix. So good! My husband and I have been watching and realizing how difficult it must have been becoming Queen at such an early age.

You know through my posts how fond I am of Karina Dresses and the ease in which they are worn, washed and don’t need ironing! I also love the prints and various styles they have come out with for Fall thus far. I am wearing the Emerald Diamond print, and love the green ( one of my favorite colors)! This print is very popular on their site at the moment and comes in other styles: the Megan ( a 1940s style short sleeve dress), the Ruby ( a v-neck, faux wrap dress  attached sash at the waist, a knee-length skirt, and 3/4 sleeves.) and the Katharine. I love the full skirt ( perfect for dancing or twirling) the tie and high, round neckline with 3/4 sleeves.

I love the 3/4 length sleeves for upcoming Fall weather and decided it was time to bring my vintage brooches out of hiding. I paired my green jeweled brooch with a gold ribbon circular brooch given to me by my mother in law- just enough gold and bling. To  adhere to this classic look, I wore my Coach bow kitten heels and added some vintage pizzazz with my long dangling black fillagree earrings.

Wearing my Coach kitten heels

To see some of my other Karina Dresses styled for Fall over the years, see Here, Here and Here to share a few.  I have a emerald green lace cardigan from Anthropologie I will pair with this in the Fall, along with some tights.  I look forward to taking out my faux fur stoles as well.  I think of this dress as a classic, quite elegant in its style.

Just to remind, Karina Dresses are Made in the USA, are wrinkle-free, and so comfortable to wear. They come in many cuts and styles for everyone’s shape.

Outfit- Karina dress: Katrharine in Emerald  c/o Karina Dresses, Coach kitten heels,( similar)  JJ Winters clutch, ( love this one) Jewelry: My own vintage brooch collection, vintage earrings: ETSY.  ** This dress was gifted to me by Karina dresses . All opinions are my own and truthful.

I would love to hear of some of your favorites from the Fall collection? They also have a SALE going on right now, if you want to check out the styles.

Beautiful dress, I love both the style and the colour. I can see it paired with long brown boots in colder weather. The brooches are the perfect finishing touch!

Such a pretty dress Jess (oh, that colour with your hair!!) – but I think they’ve spelled “Catherine” wrong, heehee 😉

I’m so bummed that we’re missing the eclipse – we would have been making our way to your area of course right now if we hadn’t had to cancel our holiday. We were planning to be in Charleston on Monday… so close to you!! Never mind, we’re doing the exact same holiday next year, just without the eclipse…!

Have a great week, happy Wednesday and thank you for hosting!

Hehe… Thank you Catherine.. I am seeing myself loving this cut in other dress, but love the color as well. I have a fair amount of green for the Fall as it is a favorite shade. I am looking forward to the Eclipse and the Total Eclipse will be kinda interesting… total pitch black at 2 in the afternoon. You too, xx

I love green on you, Jess and this is perfect. The dress is so pretty and I’m like you, I like the 3/4 length sleeves as the weather starts to cool down. You look fab and I love your brooches. Guess I need to do some thinking on how to style mine. I have a number of them and I never think to pin them on! Thanks for the inspiration. – Amy
