20 Jun Mint and White on a Rainy Afternoon

They say April Showers, bring May flowers, but it seems to shower here more in June. The thing is, that the shower is for an hour in the afternoon, and then it blows over  First, excuse the frizzy hair, the downside of an afternoon shower. Second,. Now, I don’t want you to get the wrong impression, when I have these pictures of me going yet to another wine bar, let alone the fact that we are “regulars”. My hubby can work remotely as he is the IT business, so at times we go out and enjoy a lunch with a glass or so of wine. And when I say “or so” I do mean that ! I am a One And A Half Glass Girl! Have been for the longest time.

I felt “risky” yesterday, so decided to leap out of my comfort zone and try a New type of white wine. As I said, I am a red wine girl all of the way, but there is something about the refreshing, cold, citrusy taste of a glass of white wine on a humid day.  . I enjoy learning about the various regions, and the owner is good about our tastes and what we like. This was medium bodied, and very crisp and citrus tasting, so good. My stomach was just calling out for a snack in the afternoon, so it was hummus and whole grain crackers that hit the spot. As I looked at my boy Gibby, we brought the pups, I knew I could read his mind. “Where’s mine?” And so I pulled out the plastic bag with little baby carrots and fed one to each of my pups, both Gibby and Truffy. Truffy will do her little obligatory twirl, like a doggy ballerina, and Gib will be showing off just how high he can jump right before I pass them out. Who would have thought baby carrots would bring on such excitement!

! I just recently got this white blazer at Nordstorm and I love it, as it is fitted and also moves with me. Finally I could find a WHITE blazer, as I have been looking and who knew there were so many variances of white. I love the mint color, and bought these shorts last year, as I have been a fan of lace for a long time. I decided to pair this together but knew I wanted a necklace to pull it together.

It then turned dark, but we were on the porch undercover, as the afternoon storm hit, and passed within a little over an hour. Later, I made my way over to a young girl’s “Accessory Heaven ( and older girls) Charming Charlie, where I picked up this necklace and a few other things. We did get shots but my hair decided it would fall and go limp as the humidity and rain in the air lingered a bit. What can you do?…
