10 Apr Mirror, Mirror and a Chiffon Cardigan
Drove by our house the other day, and thought it would be neat to show the dichodomy between a soft blush chiffon cardigan and antique lace skirt against a very modern mirrored building .Do you find yourself noticing your surroundings more? When we take a drive, I start to look and think of some of the places I may not have paid as much attention to. This is a neat building, and I find myself looking at buildings and such where I wouldn’t have noticed or paid much heed to it before.
There are quite a few beautiful places by the lake, in Uptown, and around Charlotte that I will show you as time goes on. What it great is, we are about 3 hours from the beach and the same for the mountains. Now, all I would like is a cabin overlooking the mountains, with a view to match. Maybe one day.
This outfit is another combination of the pink and black look, but done so that the entire outfit is meant to be very lady like and elegant looking. When I first saw this cardigan, at Loft, years ago,I couldn’t take my eyes off it! ( ok. slight exaggeration, but you get my point), and years later the color and style has come around again.,
Cardigan: Loft ( old, similar) Skirt ( Ann Taylor), Pink Floral sandals ( B.O.C. Born sandals), Rebecca Minkoff Handbag, Brooch Etsy, and earrings Jewel Box
Have a great day!

Posted at 10:18h, 11 AprilBeautiful outfit Jess!! I love, love, love the sweater and as I was looking at it and your skirt I thought – tactile. I know I’ve talked about tactile shoes and jewelry but haven’t delved into the clothing aspect for my readers. Thank you for the inspiration!! Also, I really like the shots with the building as a backdrop. I know you lived here in Pittsburgh so you’re probably familiar with the PPG Plaza (or as my kids you to refer to it as the glass castle). I actually worked in building 1 the tallest of the six.
I hope you’re feeling better. Katie Couric had some folks on the other day who’s children were diagnosed with ED. Their stories were nightmares b/c before the doctors could determine the cause of the childrens fractures they thought it was child abuse. Hopefully the show will increase awareness on the issue so that going forward parents of children with the condition won’t have to endure the harsh treatment of the legal system.
Have a great weekend! ~Steph

Posted at 10:59h, 11 AprilThanks Steph! I appreciate that you like the sweater. Something has to really stand out for me to buy it. Great idea about the tactile post for your readers! Oh yes I know PPG place. That would be fabulous as well. There are some neat places in Pgh that can be used as backdrops, very pretty building too.
I didn’t know that about Katie Couric having kids with EDS on. Sometimes one isn’t diagnosed until later in life. Lousy to go through now, but I would have hated to have chronic pain as a young child.
You too enjoy the weekend! jess 🙂

Posted at 06:01h, 11 AprilWhat a wondeful outfit! I love it how your top matches the shoes. It’s quite a tricky colout, though. i was just thinking, would it also look nice with other powder colours or would it be too pastelly? I think you made the right choice to wear it with black.

Posted at 09:10h, 11 AprilThank you Tilna. I could have paired it with another pinkish color, somewhat a monochrome look, but then have a purse or something with more color, as my skin is pretty pale. I appreciate thoughts and feedback. Glad you like it!
Stop by again, Jess

Posted at 04:23h, 11 AprilStunning, Jess!! I adore your look, the cardigan in this soft blush is so beautiful with its roses.
Perfect with your lace skirt. I am sure the sandals are very comfy for you and they look very good with your look.
The photos are great as well and yes, I was laughing when I read your first sentences… I always keep an eye on the surrounding even more now, thinking of where and how we could take photos – I think it is called the “blogger syndrome” 😉
