30 Jun Pastels and Pretty Pups
Well, I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. It was some down time for me this week, as my illness ( see About Me section) decided to rear it’s head. So, while spending some time in bed, my puppies were treated to a new groomer, Pups and Suds, a great business, where the Grooming Van, comes to our house!
The last place they had became less desirable due to the fact that they seemed to “know more than the vet”, and the arrangement was not great. My pups would go there, and spend 5 hours in a crate together, while other dogs all around them barked, and they waited their turn. Six hours later, we would go pick them up and they would literally be exhausted! They were so! excited to see us, they looked as if they couldn’t wait to get out.
So, the Grooming van, was amazing! She parks in front of our house, has everything needed in the van, I came in and made my pups comfortable, and then then 2 hours later, both dogs were done, looking great, and completely happy!”. It was funny, I was like a little bit of an overprotective mom as my boy became afraid of the nail clippers, since the other place only used a nail grinder, even when we told them not to, and that he didn’t like it. So, I came in for a few minutes, as I didn’t want to be overbearing, but told her my pups names, and jokingly( sort of) said, my boy Gibson, goes by ” G-Bear” ” Teddy Bear”, ” Teddy G”, “Gibby Boy”, and Gibson. I told her that he answered to any of those names 🙂 My girl is easier, it is usually “Truffles” or ‘Truffy”. A few more of my pups pics can be seen HERE
So, needless to say, that is our new groomer! My pups were first bought when I began having symptoms and later diagnosed with this incurable illness: EDS. They are my buddies, my companions, my comfort, and just great to be around. They are so laid back, I can’t help but wake up with a smile on my face when my boy Gibson, is curled up next to me. We just love having them .Excuse some of the cell pics, but I had to get some quick close ups when my girl, Truffles was cooperative, she is afraid of the camera!
So, I did my best and decided to put together a bright summery outfit with pink pastel and white with a touch of pattern in my floral scarf. I certainly have gravitated toward more pastel colors this spring and summer. When I was in college, in my Eurythemics class ( movement), my teacher at the time, pulled me aside, ( as I was all in black, wearing my Metallica t-shirt and black pants) said, ” You are such a pretty girl, you would look great in pastels…” So, here I am 20 years later, and I finally took her advice. She would probably be pleasantly surprised at the colors now in my wardrobe.
