Pink Blouse with Wide Leg Cropped Denim

Target ruffled blouse

Hello friends!

I hope you had a nice weekend and are doing well.

Today I was in the mood for solids, after a lot of print wearing lately.

This pink wrap top caught my eye and because of the cut I thought to pair it with my favorite Wit and Wisdrom wide leg denim jeans

Target ruffled blouse

My Outfit

I do really like pink but didn’t have a lot of it in my closet. So when I was searching Tarshay for Spring tops, this cute wrap style with flutter sleeves caught my eye! I have a dress with this same style in this post- Flouncy Spring Dress – Target Style.

This pink top comes in other colors and prints as well. A yellow floral, orange print and mustard shade . I bought another top in a different color which is noted as “green” on their website and looks like a lime green. I thought it would be a nice change as well/. When I received it, it was the same mustard yellow as my dress! Ooops Target! Change that color description! Anyhow, I haven’t returned it yet, as I am deciding.

A fitted blouse is one of my favorite ways to wear wide leg pants or jeans, balancing the proportions.

If you missed my post in the Fall about how to wear wide leg cropped denim, have a look here.

I am tall, at 5 foot 9, so I can certainly wear these with sneakers, but I favor a heel more often, creating a longer leg line. I am wearing these Betsey Johnson pearl heel pink sandals I have had now for several years.

A lilac print scarf adds more color and print to the style as well.

The weekend was warm here in the South. 85 degrees on Saturday. My sis and niece came over on Friday as we social distanced in the back yard in folding chairs. We had ordered curbside pickup from a Tapas restaurant and had some new delicacies! I do enjoy trying food from new places. My niece is more of a picky eater, so she had a large grilled burger, but we enjoyed some paella, a cheese/meat platter with manchego and other cheeses, ham croquets, and I chose the grilled salmon with spinach nuts and chickpeas in a lemon glaze. Yum! We shared a bottle of Spanish Granache that my sister picked out from Costco! Delicioso! I am a big fan of Spanish wine.

Sunday we wanted to get out and we spent part of our day at Latta Plantation. A large plantation which houses the Raptor Center, horseback riding, and more, had wonderful hiking areas in the woods. We took the pups and hiked about 3 miles on this warm Sunday afternoon.

The blouse is stunning, Jess, like its dusty pink colour and all these interesting detailing and looks great paired with tough denim. Like the fact that they jeans are hemmed and are of two shades at the bottom, it’s a big point of difference

      Hi Lisa,
Thank you! It is tough, takes 2 days to recoup from exhaustion/soreness, but worth it in the long run. I love the style too and pink was something I didn’t have a lot of in my closet. Hope you are doing well!

This outfit looks darling on you. I have some cropped flare jeans like these but never know what shoes to wear with them. Wedges just seemed to heavy, but I like the way you paired a lighter sandal with them. Thanks for the idea.

Hi Michelle! We did enjoy our visit. She has been coming over here and there on Fridays the day she has off. I enjoy having my niece there too and told her I missed doing photoshoots with her this year. Thank you! I wanted to add some pink to the closet! 🙂

That outfit is absolutely stunning on you, even though it is casual and comfortable looking! I checked out the blouse – which I love – and think I may get the orange print for myself. I admire the way you combine accessories to complete your outfit. Will be checking out other posts here for sure!

You look so pretty in your flounced sleeve wrap top, that was a good find. Every time you wear these jeans, I covet them! I’m so glad you got to spend some time with your sister and niece. Have you been able to get back to your pain treatments, yet?

Thank you Kim! I bought it in several colors – wanted to add some pink to the closet. They really are very comfortable, one of my favorite pairs! I would like to find this style in white. Yes, we had a good time with my sister and niece, something to look forward too. Thank Goodness I can go for my treatment tomorrow. Thank you for asking! I have lots of areas she needs to work on, so it is a relief I can get the treatment.

Beautiful as always Jess! I love a wrap blouse and you know pink is my favorite. This blouse looks good with the wide leg cropped denim. The scarf is a nice touch too! Your dinner sounds so delicious, we don’t have anything close to us that serves anything that gourmet. What a perfect meal!
