12 Mar Readers and Cream Peplum Sweater
This is the last in a series from readers.com, showcasing the Make a Statement Collection. There was sun out this afternoon, as this winter was strange in Charlotte, a few days you see people bundled in winter coats, then the shorts and t-shirts come out. I decided to wear a cream colored sweater I got from my favorite place to shop, Ann Taylor. No kidding, I am known on a first name basis there. This peplum sweater I had eyed for awhile, and I also liked the fact that it was light, which we need more than heavy, substantial cable knits in the Queen City. I paired it up with my camel skirt, and in some pics, another tan/cognac leather jacket. I added a pop of color with sneaking some colors of spring in: mint, pale pink, tan in a scarf I liked, as well as a brooch and pearls to make it more lady-like. The tortoise glasses also added a bit of sparkle and bling to the outfit as little crystals shined in the sun.
I love peplum, but some I have tried on seem to be up a little high, and I have a long torso as well, I was happy when the peplum worked for me, and the placement was just right.
This style is known as the Josephine in Tort , and can be found here, on readers.com.

Posted at 10:17h, 13 MarchThank You hon, I like the peplum cut, sometimes because I am tall and long waisted, the peplum line is too high, but this is nice. Just a little hint; I may wear another new peplum top in the NEAR future. :-)Thank you on the glasses. I like these as well. I think my personality goes with the cat eyes. I am going to get a prescription pair like the ones I showed. Thanks again, Annette!!

Posted at 10:26h, 13 MarchThanks for stopping by and commenting Tammy. I really liked the boots and the color of them. They are Dansko from about 3 seasons ago. I don’t usually buy dansko, but this was one boot that had my attention. Thank you for your compliment.

Posted at 12:07h, 12 MarchHi there. Yes, I am a huge fan of Ann Taylor. It was from this season, but sold out. There is some light lace detailing on the front of the sweater. The boots I got for a steal, but they are so comfortable and cool looking. Thanks God I don’t have to lace them up, there is a zipper on the side. Stop by again. 🙂

Posted at 11:48h, 12 MarchThank you. I will be happy to check yours out as well. I love to see how others style themselves as well. I appreciate the compliment. The boots are from Dansko, whose shoes I don’t buy from, as they usually have a heel, and they aren’t always my style, but I saw these and they were so different I liked the color and the lace ups. THank you!

Posted at 09:50h, 12 MarchThank you Pam. I remember thinking when I was alot younger that pearls were for old ladies! Then I grew up and realized that any lady of fashion wore pearls, that they were elegant. I liked the gold and abalone flowers on them. Thank you! I would like to see what readers you have, i bet they look sharp!
