17 Feb Snow Day
I can honestly say, I moved to Charlotte for 2 reasons: a teaching job, and the weather. The weather played an important role, as I was tired of the grey, cold, and long winter months of PA. Sure, I love fall, but I could do without winter. Seeing snow here in Charlotte, at least 5 inches, I became like the children in which I taught kindergarten years ago. WoW! Look at how pretty that is on the trees! Such a beautiful scene! Do you want to go outside? Now here, I was talking to my 2 -12 pound shih tzus, and with the little tikes, basically their noses were pressed up against the windows and in such amazement and awe, they had no real need for me to talk, as their questions were flooding my ears.( the kids, not the pups) Can we touch that? What is that, and just alot of wows and ooooohs! I doubt these pictures will bring that type of response, but I hope you enjoy the pics of the snow day we had here in Charlotte, where everything shuts down.
I decided to stick with red and some winter white, adding hints of black vintage jewerly, black bow belt, and a black purse/clutch. The black bow leather belt I wore with a Christmas dress, and I like how it adds a bit more femininity to the look, also that hint of black against red. The necklace was a vintage purchase from Etsy, so one of a kind. If you look there, you can find truly antique and vintage jewelry, and the brooch-like gold piece with red stones added to the pearls I think adds a lady-like touch. I do have to admit, I enjoyed bringing out my “inner-child” by throwing a few snow balls!
Sweater: Ann Taylor Loft ( Similar), Red Skirt: Banana Republic ( similar), Boots: Keen: burgundy, Earrings and Pearl Necklace: Etsy, Clutch: Aldo, Black Bow belt: Amazon.

Posted at 23:46h, 05 MarchI think this is definitely one of my favorite ensemble you put together. I know you had to be cold. The earrings are beautiful. Red always looks good on you. Love the purse and especially the boots.

Posted at 08:28h, 06 MarchThanks so much. I do love the deep red color. Orangish red does not do well on fair complexions, so I go for that deep red. Yes, I was cold but tried to have a bit of fun throwing snowballs. I am a fan of antique or vintage jewelry and try and display what I can.

Posted at 19:04h, 17 FebruaryThank you Diana, Yes, let’s stay in touch. I know, a red head that loves to wear red. I was deciding whether to wear a black wrap top with this or the ivory, and I thought, being in Charlotte, I have to take advantage of wearing my sweaters before it turns warmer.
