11 Feb Spring Trends That are More Wearable in 2022
So, you’re interested in trying a trend or two this Spring? I’m sharing with you some of the more “wearable” trends today on the blog.
Let’s mention the one that is not on my radar this season. You do remember a week or so ago when I posted about the mini skirt. I am good with the mini especially worn with either solid or patterned tights. Now, what I am not loving is this…the Micro Mini~
Now ladies, this looks a bit like I could find this outfit in my hubby’s closet, minus the “MICRO Mini skirt that looks like it was derived from cutting some trousers that weren’t being worn. The question is…. how does one sit down or bend in this outfit?
Let’s move on to other trends for Spring that may appeal to us a bit more
I’ve curated some links for you to shop the trends below. They are affiliate links-the blog may make a small commission if you click, at no extra cost to you.
Bold Bright Colors– greens, yellows, bright hues like hot pink, scarlet. Tones such as lilac and sky blue will also be popular. I love seeing these as color blocked outfits, or tonal looks. Try pairing various shades of lilac to create a look for Spring. If you don’t find yourself wanting to wear bright colors head to toe, add an accessory in a bright color. A quilted bag in green, a pair of bright orange sandals.
Relaxed Denim– Who doesn’t love the sound of that? Over the past several years, when our wardrobes became more “relaxed” in sweatpants and loungewear, the relaxed jean trend became popular. I always enjoyed straight leg jeans and now there are a multitude of cuts that you can find that will work with your body type and be comfortable. Jeans are also more denim-like, with less lycra to wear they stretch just enough during the day, but don’t look like leggings. Try a new pair of wide leg jeans, give a pair of white straight leg denim a go.
Bright sandals– Relating back to the bright colors for Spring, strappy sandals and pumps will be showing for Spring as well. Orange, yellow, green , red, lilac and baby blue are some hues you will see.
Platform shoes for Spring– again, “what goes around comes around”, platforms are back and give the extra height and more stability. Much more than a stilleto heel. Chunky heels live on! some of these are taking me back!
Maxi dresses– Seems we have both ends of the spectrum this Spring season, with the Micromini and the maxi dress. I love a beautiful sillouette the maxi dress offers, and fashion houses such as Givenchy and Louis Vuitton are getting behind it as well.
All white looks– This trend seems popular every year, and the ultra-white look is back now for Spring 2022. I have always loved the monochromatic looks of all white. ( unless I am going to a Vineyard! or eating Italian)
