 Hello friends!One of my favorite things to research in fashion are the upcoming trends of each season.  Although i love to have those necessary staples that i think are easy to mix in match in our wardrobe, trendy pieces can be fun to add as well. I don't believe in spending loads of money on trends if it is something you think might just come and go, or you don't see yourself wearing much. Let me get down to business and talk about some of the Fall trends for 2018 I am seeing in shops and hearing about.

Oh Soft Surroundings, you hit this one out of the park for me. Flowy fabric, button down detail, dark florals in gorgeous rich fall colors. Yes, Yes and Yes! I have been wanting to add some dark florals in a maxi or midi style for Fall, so when I saw this on the front cover of the pre-Fall catalogue and on the website, I fell head over heels!  This dress, the Anais Maxi dress can be styled in more ways that one, and you will see me style it again in colder weather. Happy Turning Heads Tuesday!Well, it seems I took Labor Day quite literally and had a day of cleaning the house. It's ok, just had to be done!Its one of those staples that I love to wear. It took me over a year  to find a jean skirt I loved. I'm picky! I also wanted one to the knee and loved this sort of retro button down the front style. Because it is too hot right now for jeans, I chose the next best thing.,

Morning Ladies!Sometimes i think I am an "Old Soul". I am not one to say my era is better for this and this, but I do love older swing and Big Band music. Nothing like the sound of a Big Band Orchestra to get your ready to dance.  When hubby and I heard The Glenn Miller Orchestra would be coming to town, we were ready to Stop, Drop and Roll.... to get our tickets!We did however, just order them straightaway on-line.  I have always loved jazz, swing, big band, particulary when I went to the School of Music for college. Later hubby and I would take swing dance lessons, which were so fun. One of the first Big Band songs i remember having on a 45 record was "In the Mood." But what was I 'in the mood" to wear?

Good Morning ladiesYou have seen me style a tee shirt dress before in several posts. This one is very comfortable and I love the olive shade. The pencil skirt style is also flattering. As we eventually turn to Fall, this would be a style of dress I could layer and style for cooler weather. Its still summer, however, and when the heat is on, I love wearing strappy sandals and dressing up the look a bit. I will also address how I would style this dress for Fall.

Morning friends!It is that time of year, the heat is on, and although I wear dresses most of the time, I do like to wear shorts here and there. I bought these eyelet chambray shorts from LOFT several years ago, and because of the flat front trouser style they are a bit more "dressed up" than you regular denim short.
