THT-Another Casual Look for Valentine’s Day

I do think I found the casual look I will wear for Valentine’s Day.

Floral blouse with wide leg cropped jeans

wide leg cropped jeans and peep toe booties

Floral blouse with wide leg cropped jeans

Another Casual Valentine’s Day Look

I mixed a bit of romantic print with my wide leg cropped denim today for an easy V-day look. (well really, I would wear this anytime)

You all know that I love some floral prints, and this silk blouse by Haute Hippie lept out at me! The pink and red roses, almost impressionistic in nature, is a blouse I reach for often. The blouse is light, and has a longer back hem than the front. I have tucked it in, so it doesn’t show at the moment, but it certainly could be worn without tucking.

The Tom’s peep toe booties in a taupe shade gave a little nod to Spring with the peep toe style.

My red Prada bag added to the feminine look with the bows in the front.

Even though I am tall, I prefer to wear a heel with the cropped denim, as they continue to lengthen the leg, even with the cropped jean.

If you aren’t tall, certainly a higher rise cropped leg jean would look great and lengthen your leg, especially if worn with a heel.

Another tip if adding a 3rd piece. If you are interested in adding a jacket- look for ones at no longer than your waist, as to not cut off the proportions of the jeans.

Haute Hippie- My blouse

Haute Hippie (not sponsored) don’t you love that name? I came across it looking at blouses, and thought it was a great combination of Haute Couture and Hippie or Boho style. The brand originated out of a Manhattan apartment in 2008 and I love their description-“She is ageless, confident, and independent. A global nomad. Inspired by the word “Gyp-Set.” A free spirited mix of Gypsy, Jet Set, Rock&Roll and Boho.

You can see how I styled it before, in this post- HERE.

Weekend

We had a fun date night on Saturday, and I mentioned in yesterday’s post we went to the Becthlers Museum of Modern Art. After, we tried to get a seat at the Barcellona Wine Room, but at 5:30(!) there weren’t any! The place held about 6 people. ( Ok I am exaggerating, but it was quite small). Fortunately, we went to a place called Soul, which was a happy finding. A tapas bar, we enjoyed sushi, babagonush, oysters.

I haven’t been to a tapas place in ages! That sounds fun! I really love the pops of red in this outfit! I am a little on the tall side– 5’7″, but I do enjoy wearing heels sometimes. I usually go for a lower heel, though. That bag is gorgeous!

That is such a cute printed blouse – it works really well with your jeans and I like the red bag with it too, great accessorising! 🙂

I won’t be wearing anything special for Valentine’s day – we don’t really celebrate it in Australia!

    Thanks for the link up!

Hope that you are having a good week! First week of school here for the kids 🙂
