THT-Styling Cream Trousers for Summer

I’m styling a light, cream pair of trousers for a cool summer look.

Styling Cream Pants for Summer

These ecru colored pants are a light pant for summer. They are a blend of polyester, viscose and elastane. I have been wearing mostly linen and cotton pieces lately as it is hot, hot hot here in the South. We are reaching 100 degrees this week and it feels oppressive!  I do tend to wear some other fabrics if I am going out to a restaurant or a jazz club indoors.  Nighttime dressing if you will.  Date night.  Who am I kidding? Every day is date night, as we both work at home and see each other constantly! I will joke with my hubby and say . “Didn’t you need to run that errand?”;-)

Now, back to the outfit

I bought these Mango pants this year, and I do love a tailored, flat front trouser. I find it is flattering on many body types and I’ve been enjoying more tailored looks along with my feminine florals.

Here, you have the best of both worlds. This  tank  is also from Mango, but I bought it a few years ago. The red floral caught me eye! This one is no longer sold, but this top is quite stunning as well.

I am wearing a bandeaux bra with this top, as I have tried on the Soma strapless bra, and their size B bras must have changed, as this strapless bra with it’s padding looked like it could hold two large cantaloupes! Just too much material, padding and too large a cup.

You saw how I styled it with more neutrals with this olive green and cream ensemble HERE.

I also have been wearing these black braided sandals quite a bit and I take out this favorite Teddy Blake bag when I get a chance.

Life Lately

We have been busy around the house lately, and my family is due to come into town on the 18th. Both hubby and I have been enjoying paddleboarding and kayaking once a week on the lake. I recently bought ( as an early bday gift) a new carbon fiber paddle for my board. The aluminum paddle is heavier and halfway through paddling my shoulders are pinching and burning. So, this paddle is supposed to be 1.3 pounds and great for this reason. I’ll see!

My mom has arrived at my brother’s house, and yesterday I drove her and I to the gym, and out for lunch. We had a lovely day and mom is enjoying her weights workouts! I’ll be headed out today for a manicure – what color should I get to go with my “cat-eye” orange? I was thinking red or yellow. Kind of reminiscent of the sun.

Do you wear lightweight trousers in the Summer when out for an evening? I’d love to hear how you style yours.

I have never been paddle boarding but it sounds like fun! And how awesome that you were able to spend some time with your mom. Aren’t family time the best? I say go for yellow nails though I am a bit biased as I am just loving the color yellow as of late! I love your top. The florals are so pretty!

Oh my, 100 degrees, can’t imagine that, but you’re looking super cool in that lovely breezy wisp of a top.
You did make me laugh about sending your hubs on errands!

Beautiful floral print top! It looks lovely with the cream pants and gorgeous Teddy Blake bag! I’ve never tried kayaking – I’d be afraid of falling in the water! My dad has a double kayak and used to go out on the sea a lot around the north Brittany coast where he lives. I prefer relaxing on a boat!

I just love that top Jess, and you should show us the back view!!
I’ve tried Soma bras twice now, and I just can’t get them to work for me. I know so many women love them, but it goes to show how we are all so different.

That’s amazing that you’re going paddleboarding—I am not very good at it and tend to fall off the board repeatedly! Loving this pretty summer look too 🙂

This outfit makes me think of what I am styling on Thursday: a similar top with a white skirt. I love these types of outfits in the summer. White or cream with light tops. Enjoy your family time!

Paddleboarding always looks so very relaxing, but I think it’s hard work. But I can imagine that it is a great thing to do. Beautiful top! I would do a red nail! But I almost always have red nails.
