Trending- Brocade, Embroidery and Velvet

happy Friday ladies!

You know I like to delve into some midlife topics about this time, however, today I am talking Fall trends.  Embroidery has been a trend popular since this past Spring, even though i remember a pair of jeans i wore as a middle schooler with embroidered flowers on them.  i suppose i have been on a bootie “kick” ( pun intended) recently, so I’ll be sharing booties with these 3 fabrics.

Brocade, according to Wikipedia is “a class of richly decorative shuttle-woven fabrics, often made in colored silks and with or without gold and silver threads.” It is a raised material.  Brocade is making its way to Fall fashion and i am enjoying the look in booties, when looking for a little more of a statement  in your outfit.

Velvet, was a trend last Fall, and i am happy to say is making a resurgence this year as well. I have always loved velvet jackets or blazers for their rich look, and now there are plenty of various velvet booties to choose from as well.

Here are some that have caught my eye;

Tell me, are you looking for any statement booties for this Fall to add to your wardrobe? I would love a brocade pair, so I am on the hunt for a pair that has a 2.5 inch heel or lower.
Have a great weekend!

    Love the embroidered ones ! Still on the edge, I’m almost 46 and my siter said she can’t imagine them in somebody my age😌
    Should i goet them and ignore her advice?

      Yury, I am a firm believer that people should wear what they want and don’t beleive in age “rules”. The embroidered pairs are beautiful, colorful and make a statement. You are never too old to enjoy something you like and fits your personality. i am 49 and i wear what i like 😉 Hope that helps!

    These boots are gorgeous. I just haven’t made up my mind if I am into wearing a print on my feet. I know it is probably silly, but then it took me a long time to start print mixing too. Ha, ha. – AMy

      Thank you Julie! I am picking a pair, probably brocade. I love the embroidered, but the heel height is a little high for me. They do make a statement! xx

    I am a lifelong fan of both brocade and velvet. It is not a coincidence that I love every single pair featured here. I am also looking to add a similar kind for my wardrobe but it is a little bit difficult to find in my small size. Thank you for sharing this.

    I love them all!! Shoes are the most efficient way for me to execute transitional dressing in a place like Houston, wherein there really isn’t Fall or Winter 🙂

    Nice boots. I don’t wear boots (except for snow boots. I live in michigan. ) I would like to see brocade on jackets especially denium.As usual my friend, you look great in all of your clothes. Have a nice weekend! 🙋🍁🍂🌿🎃💄👗👜👢👠👡👞👟😀

      Hi Debbie! Yes a brocade jacket would be lovely! I do love jacquard and brocade as such rich textures. i understand the need for practicality if you are in Michigan, as it would be about keeping my feet warm with all of the cold and snow, am i right/ i have found a pair of brocade boots with a low chunky heel, as that is more comfy for me. Thank you for your lovely comment and enjoy your weekend as well! xx
