Pattern Mixing-Florals and Plaid

Hello Friends

I hope you had a great weekend and are getting into the Spirit of Christmas even more.   We took family photos and as I wrote on Facebook, I had to laugh at something that was said during the photoshoot. The pups were in their Santa Suits and we were dressed up using a tripod for photos. A grounds worker nearby said, ” Are those real puppies? I thought they were stuffed animals they were sitting so still!” This cracked me up as I thought, Boy, that would be awfully weird for us to be taking pictures with stuffed animals! haha. Anyhow, they turned out great and will be fun to share.

Today, I wanted to try a bit of pattern mixing as I have been influenced by seeing some great examples on other bloggers and on the runway. I looked through my closet and this pairing seems to fit just my needs! Yes I am wearing another dark floral made up of navy, tan, rust and orange tones and used that color palette to mix with this favorite Anthropologie tweed jacket containing the same color palette. I loved the mix of color, texture, and added my Treesje crinkled leather ruffled clutch for additional texture . Last, these vintage cognac riding boots seem just the perfect addition to this ensemble. You will be seeing more of this jacket, as it is a favorite!

NIce! I’ve yet to master the mixing patterns thing. I think the gorgeous plaid jacket looks great with the floral print. And your boots are DTF!
