Morning friends!
Yesterday I shared with you an Anthropolige tartan blazer I styled for a Fall look with my flare jeans. Today, I am sharing this plaid longline blazer that can be worn as a coat or blazer, depending on the weather. I found this beauty on ASOS and was excited to finally wear it with my AG skinny jeans and rich brown suede booties.
I’ve been sharing some plaid and tartan patterns on the blog as of late, as I have loved plaid for a while now. I remember favorite pieces from my closet in my 20s and now with my current closet.
Weekend Fun
OK. Don’t hate me. I am almost done with Christmas shopping, as I have the time and I am in charge of gifts! Hubby has only his dad and brother in law to take care of. Our guest room looks like “Santa’s workshop”. Anyhow, we went to look @Home, a place that is like a Christmas wonderland with decor! I bought some items I will share on the blog later, and then we found a little family-run Italian restaurant near the store. I loved it from the start, hearing Ole Blue Eyes singing, and reading over the menu of mouth-watering homemade pasta and Italian wines.ย It was a wonderful night, as we love “exploring our own town” and finding such treasures. Mama Italiana hugged me on the way out too.
Hubby wanted to see Ford Vs Ferarri, and I was reluctant at first. I am Not a Nascar gal or into racing. I did read reviews and the movie was rated well along with positive reviews. The theatre was sold out and we were lucky to get a seat. I was giving it a chance, it did, after all, have Christian Bale in it, and with an English accent too. ( oh! handsome and an accent!) The movie really was excellent and made me feel for the characters played by Matt Damon and Bale. I was quite thrilled it wasn’t just a car/race movie, but it was thrilling as well as being character-driven. ( pun intended) I’ll say no more, in case you want to see it!
My Outfit
Someone said, “Be careful about what you wish for!” It was so cold when we took these photos; that night would be 22 degrees! This is unheard of at this time in the Carolinas! I love Fall, not ready for Winter. It is supposed to get warmer, as I write this. I think you can tell how cold I am by the photos! A darker blue hue is more the photographic atmosphere, so I need to add some warmth to the pictures when processing.
I bought this jacket for about $65 on ASOS a few months ago, and boy, it sold out fast. I bought the coat in Tall, as the store carried Tall, regular and petite styles, as well as Maternity clothes. I love that the sleeves of the coat are long enough on me! I am 5 foot 9, and wear an XS/S or 4, and often the sleeves don’t compensate for someone tall. I have other coats to prove that! ๐ This exact coat is out of stock, but I have linked other ones below that are similar. This is one I like, but it doesn’t have a double-breasted style and buttons. This checked coat is more like the one I am wearing.
I wanted to wear neutrals and warm tones so I took out my new soft brown turtleneck I bought online on H&M, and my new favorite Marc Fisher booties scored on Poshmark. I hope to do a post on my favorite jeans, and the ones I am wearing are just that. I bought several pairs of AG jeans on Poshmarkย ( The Prima) and went with my standard size 27. They are so very soft, I can see why people love this brand! My Brahmin bag fit in nicely and oh my! to look at their bags I am like a kid in a candy store!

That is interesting about that movie. Maybe I’ll throw my hubby a bone and watch it with him : ) Normally we don’t like the same kind of film.

November 19, 2019 at 5:30 pmGorgeous coat! I love your cosy sweater and fabulous top handle bag too! I had no idea that Christian Bale is British until I saw a TV interview the other day. It seems most of the UK didn’t know either going on the media reaction! A couple of my colleagues did the camera work on the interview and posted a photo on Facebook with Christian and Matt…lucky devils!

November 19, 2019 at 11:19 amThis is an elegant and stylish look on you. I love the polish Brahmin handbags give an outfit. (I have a couple, but rarely use them b/c they are a little too polished for me–ha!) . We saw Ford v Ferrari Friday (I wanted to go b/c I like Matt Damon.) Darling husband went along for the ride (no pun intended)–we both really loved it and would see it again!

November 19, 2019 at 1:38 amJess, youโve created a very attractive Fall ensemble! The colors all go together really nicely. I like all of the different textures – the softness of your sweater, the fuzziness of the long blazer, the engraved purse. Very tasteful.
