Layers and a Menswear Look for January 2024
Maybe you have been wearing enough frilly dresses for awhile. Your mood might just call for a bit of menswear inspired fashion!
Hmm. Mom jeans are ba- ack! These are the new and improved Mom jeans though. Not your standard 1980 something Mom jean that made butts look bigger and were just, not all that flattering.
Morning friendsIf you usually wear a sweater with jeans and that is your winter uniform, try adding a plaid blazer for some extra oomph. I am a blazer kinda girl and just adding that 3rd piece amplifies your look. If you are still looking for Valentine's looks, read yesterday's post- Valentine's Day the Casual Way. I am wearing red roses on my booties today, so that should count! :-)
Lately, I have been on a jean kick, ( See my white jeans and puffy sleeves post yesterday) and also a faux leather kick. Last week I shared my paper bag waist faux leather trousers, this week I am wearing my Zara brown faux leather leggings.
Morning friends!
Yesterday I shared with you an Anthropolige tartan blazer I styled for a Fall look with my flare jeans. Today, I am sharing this plaid longline blazer that can be worn as a coat or blazer, depending on the weather. I found this beauty on ASOS and was excited to finally wear it with my AG skinny jeans and rich brown suede booties.
Hello Ladies,How was everyone's weekend? It has been bitter cold here in Charlotte, NC and Jess doesn't do cold too well. However, being that I seem warm all of the time now ( midlife menopause) I told my hubby, where is the cold weather? So, I experienced the very cold in Harleysville, PA ( under 20 degrees) and i will take the "Southern Cold" instead! So, what is one to do besides cozy up near the fireplace and snuggle with the puppies? Wear layers! Today I am sharing a layered look in one of my favorite plaid Anthropologie blazers, jeans and OTK boots. I plan on writing a post on the importance of a investing in a good blazer, but today, I am talking about Over the knee boots.
Hello LadiesTime for another fun filled Tuesday with me, Jess, as your host sharing with you my love of fall fashions Today, I am wearing these amazing super soft denim knit jeans in INK by Fabrizio Gianni. You saw them first on me in Asheville, HERE where I paired them with an emerald /studded top. I am bringing out the plaid today as I love such fabrics and patterns as plaids, tweed, cashmere, etc in the upcoming months. The traditional green and blue plaid caught my eye with this jacket from Anthropoloigie especially the cut of it, with the tailored style and ruffles. I had to add my bit of vintage touch with the green vintage brooch I bought on Etsy I collect them, as I love owning pieces with meaning.
