Wearing Jambu Viola Spring Sandals on a Day at the Lake

Hello friends!

Ahhh, there is nothing like that first sunny day, with the warm sun shining and the boats at the marina looking ready to make their way out on the Lake for the day. It was warm, 80 degrees, when we decided to do a photoshoot near The Cottage, and Lake Norman. When we first moved here, it felt like we were living in a resort. I think everyone tends to “take for granted’ sometimes where they live, as you get accustomed to it, day to day. But I am a water girl, and i love looking at the pontoon boats and impressive house boats while sitting at Grandma Trudy’s house drinking some refreshing Sangria or Cabarnay that day. I decided to style my new sandals, the Viola, from Jambu that day. A striking tan and black striped wooden heeled sandal with a strappy design and fashion forward style.

When we go to the Cottage, we say we are going to visit Grandma Trudy, the owner of the home-styled wine bar. She isn’t their grandma, but the homey feeling we all get there makes us feel like she could be! The pups run around the place making a b-line for the dog biscuit jar. Truffy, who is generally the shy pup, loves to meet people and explore the place. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather and just looking at the boats and lake. My mom will visit in June, and we hope to take a boat out on the lake for a day with my sister and niece as well.

I’m due for a new gel pedicure, but in the meantime, let me tell you about the Viola sandal by Jambu. You know I am crazy about the memory foam footbed! These are a higher heel than I am used to wearing, but they are very comfortable heels.  I would wear them out to dinner or for a date night out. I loved the tan and black neutral shades of this shoe, with a bit of a 70s vibe, remniscent with the wooden heel. They also come in coral/teal. I know you have seen them on several bloggers. I loved the neutral shades and can certainly pictures these looking cute with some natural toned trousers or flared jeans with a cute halter for summer.

I am also next week due for an opthamologist visit , as I think my eyes are worse and need a new prescription. I have been looking at some new sunglasses and look forward to getting them soon, then i won’t be squinting in pics!

THE VIOLA

“Take your look to new heights with the Viola wooden block heel, part of our Handcrafted collection. Its soft nubuck upper and flat nail head details make this heel a must-have for any warm weather closet. “

Jambu has comfortable heels, wedges, sandals and flats that all have wonderful memory foam foot beds and are comfortable for day long wear. I also think about my trip to Eurpoe this year, and Jambu shoes would be great for travel.

I wanted to bring out the black in the shoes, as well as the lace, and chose my vintage lace fillagree earrings I bought on Etsy. The embroidered circle bag from Zara adds bits of color to the look and also brings out the neutral tones. This dress is from Zara, and is one of my favorite dresses. It is a shorter dress, so I do have a lace extender I bought if I choose to have a bit more length.

*These sandals were gifted to me from Jambu. Opinions are my own and truthful.

What a gorgeous outfit! Those heels look so comfortable, and easy to walk in with the chunky heel, and while they look amazing with this dress, I can see them fitting well with so many outfits.

The water and 80 degrees?! Oh, I’m jealous, Jess! LOL! Not quite there yet in PA. The outfit is truly lovely. The earrings and bag are really stand-outs! I have got to try these Jambu shoes! I’ve seen them repeated on Jodie’s (Jtouchofstyle) blog and now on yours. Comfort and support are major issues for me, but you can bet I’m not giving up an inch on the cute factor, either. These really seem to deliver on both.

That lace dress is adorable! I would wear it as a tunic over pants, since I don’t think my bare knees should ever appear in public again. But you’ve got great legs for this type of dress. The filigree earrings were a perfect choice. And I absolutely love the sandals. They definitely have a cool 70s vibe and the platform does make them easier to walk in. Great outfit!

Hi Judy, thank you! The bag only has one compartment. I wear it as I would a clutch, but it does suprisingly fit my wallet, a small hairbrush and some makeup. So a bit more than a clutch holds.

Your dress is stunning – that lace is so pretty and your embroidered bag is beautiful. I do love those shoes and wish I had the money to get them – they are fabulous and do no look at all like comfort shoes! They definitely have that 70’s vibe thanks to the wooden heel, love, love, love. Your day at The Cottage sounds fabulous and yeah, you’re right we do take for granted where we live sometimes. I am so guilty of that! Stunning as usual Jess!

I’m sure you’ll find yourself some gorgeous sunnies. I’d like to hear more about the dress extender; how did you manage to match perfectly to the dress? Hugs, x.
