Turning Heads Linkup – Jambu The Naomi Sandal

Hello friends!

By now, you are familiar with Jambu shoes. I am going to be bringing you more  new arrivals from the Spring collection! If you would like to refresh your mind on some of the styles I have featured, have a look at these posts:

Athleisure Shoes from Jambu

Gladiator Sandals from Jambu

Jambu Sugar Sandals

Btw, this post was done before yesterdays, in case you are wondering how my hair changed. I have lots of white and greys and the in-between stage is not flattering with red hair! .. Moving on…

Today I am featuring The Naomi style. Have I made you hunger for some Spring sandals yet?

Before I talk about these Naomi sandals, I am excited to share with you what i will be doing next week! I am heading to NYC for an Event sponsored by JAMBU! I will be staying at the Viceroy Hotel, across from Central Park. There will be  about 4-5 other bloggers there, and Tuesday will be a big day as we tour the Good Housekeeping Institute and meet with the Fashion director etc.. Please follow me on INSTASTORIES as I will be posting about the event and the experience.! I will also be writing a post about it for when I return. So excited! NYC here I come!

Funny Story

So, its that time that I go in for my Mammogram. (No, don’t scroll down to the bottom yet!.. ) this has to do with Jambu shoes! I am in the process of getting them smashed, ( not my shoes)  when the technician says, ” Those are some pretty shoes! Where did you get them?”  She talked about how she stands on her feet all day and needs shoes like this.  I start talking about Jambu and ask if she wants the discount Code! She writes it down and I was cracking up inside! Nothing like keeping your mind off of things! I left there laughing and thinking I might have sold a pair of shoes!

I have this style, the Naomi, a wedge and athleisure style with peep toe, in navy with a white base, from last year’s collection.  I am a person that, if i love something enough, will want it in more than one color. This shoe is so comfortable and lighter than a sneaker, I knew the taupe color with the black base was calling my name! I loved the neutral shade and the peep toe style and side ventilation ( and a little added sexiness) with lace is perfect for the Spring and Summer months

Although I have created several dressy looks with Jambu shoes, I wanted to style the Naomi  with a put together but casual vibe! I am wearing LOFT distressed denim, yes! Over 40 and I have my ripped jeans on.. why not! I wanted to pair the white jeans with this softly neutral print top with hints of light blue. I brought out the light blue shade by wearing my quilted Kate Spade bag. I just can’t resist quilted bags!

This faux leather moto jacket is from Bar III and I bought it off Poshmark! I think I paid $30 for it! I loved the steel blue color and have a thing for motos!

Jess, those shoes look extra comfy and cute. I like that they have some extra coverage, as my varicose veins cover my feet too. Love your outfit and hey, I’m over 50 and wear distressed jeans. I actually started out small with just a little tear here or there, but I am getting bolder and going for more rips. Ha, ha. Thanks for picking my pic for Pinterest. I am flattered! Hope you are having a great week! – Amy

Oh Jess, I love this WHOLE look! You look so great. ❤ And your funny story made me laugh. About ripped jeans…I am 52 & I want a pair of ripped jeans. I was admiring a pair at Kohl’s & my mom said I was “too old” for them. I am & always will be a fashionista. Lol!

What a great story! So funny. I’ll bet the people at Jambu will love it! What a great time you’ll be having next week in NYC – sounds like a dream come true! I have yet to try Jambu which is funny because I really need comfortable and stylish shoes. One of these days I’d like to try them in person, we have shoe store downtown that carries them and I need to get myself in there. I love how Spring-y and stylish this outfit is, another beautiful jacket Jess!

I love the story about the mammogram woman!! That’s brilliant! I had a similar thing happen to me at the airport security gate – while taking my boots off to walk through, the security woman said, “I love your boots!” Naturally, I told her I’d received them from The Spanish Boot Company. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to give her my blog name!!
Great shoes, Jess. They look really comfy!
