29 Mar THT-White Column Dressing with a Kimono by Caite and Kyla
The Celine Jacket- Caite and Kyla
l Love a great column dressing outfit, any time of year. I was contacted to work with Caite and Kyla again this season, and you know I love their clothing. I do love dressing up, but when I want to dress casually, I love to look put together. This boho style is very stylish and comfortable, just perfect for an afternoon out this Spring, a picnic, or lunch with friends.
Before I talk about the outfit, I should address this- We have never encountered snakes here. So don’t worry. Turtles and Egrets, yes, but no snakes!
Now, back to this beautiful kimono.
From the website-
This bohemian-chic jacket features a long sleeves and raised tonal embroidery detailing.
-Tissue Cotton
-Long Sleeves
-Vintage-inspired embroidery
-Pullover
-Care: Machine wash cold, lay flat to dry or dry clean.
The Celine jacket caught my eye as the raised embroidery and pale blush shade looked so feminine and pretty for Spring.
Just look at that raised embroidery! I love the style and could see this worn with jean shorts as well for a casual look in the summer or perhaps some light linen trousers.
I love the look of “column dressing”, that is wearing a top and pants/ or top and bottom I should say, in the same color, as to let a certain piece “take center stage.” In this case, as it is Spring, I am wearing an all white column. Often, all black is another way to style a column look, but it can be any color as long as it is one color for the top and bottom.
The kimono also gives me a bit of warmth as another layer, since it has been downright chilly here in NC! The sun shows it’s face and then taunts us, as the wind and temperature cause a chill in the air. It was windy this day, and we did take a few pictures because of it.
What’s Happening?
We have been pretty busy this month, if you missed my post- What I am Enjoying this March, I talk about some of the projects we have started. We finished the deck, now we have to go through the garage. Oh, what a job! My body is feeling it from my neck down and I am set up with a new treatment, Neuromuscular massage, which can address my muscle pain and trigger points.
Princess Truffles had her laser eye surgery and did very well! She was like a drunken sailor the first night, but then became her energetic self the day after. I feel so bad for dogs that have to wear cones! Fortunately, this was a light sedative, so she only had to wear it for 2 days
. We booked VRBO’s in Italy ( Rome and Positano) and are waiting for the airfare to come down in the next several months. I am so excited, I have started to research itineraries and will have to buy tickets to some of the attractions.

Posted at 11:39h, 31 MarchHi Jess, looking fab in your white column with that amazingly pretty kimono – love the detail. I’m a column dressing fan too. And isn’t it amazing that animals can get laser eye surgery now – such a relief that your little mate is now free of her cone.
Hugs Mary xxx.

Posted at 22:49h, 29 MarchOMG, how exciting you’re going to Italy. I was just working with a travel company here in AZ (who works with people in other states obviously) that puts together itineraries for Italy trips. If you want any help or insider info, they are a wonderful resource.
Here’s their site: https://fantasticaitalia.net/en_US/ and I can share my contact’s email if you’re interested. Just email me.
